Well then, I have been here two weeks and so far have managed only to meet freaks.
A boy stopped to help me with a map the other day and i was so happy to talk to SOMEONE that I agreed to go for a coffee. two days later and he thinks we are getting married, literally, even though i have seen him for a total of about 3 hours.
THEN I went to a salsa class the other night, full of eager anticipation and hope that I might well meet some friendly people, but instead unfortunately got stuck with a scabby old man who didnt release my god damn waist from the moment he grabbed it during the first second of the lesson. I am cross with myself because I am too stupid to tell these weirdos to piss off.
And then I see a shining light that is the Toytown forum, have a good old laugh at the witty banter and amusing observations you lot have made, and reckon that one or two of you at least could find it in your hearts to adopt a cynical but highly hilarious english au pair as their friend. As you can see, it has got to the desperate stage, I am selling myself on an internet forum after slagging off strangers (great first impression). But seeing as i am a big fat loner with freak-attracting tendencies, i have nothing to lose, so here goes.
WHO WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND?
You? Or you? Or all of you? Ok then, form an orderly queue and PM me.
God I hope I haven't just opened my username up to a barrage of abuse. Be nice to a newbie now.

Come to TT Tuesday, wherever that is this week. You'll meet plenty more slightly less freaky people there. Also look out for Karaoke nights in
GM's, you missed a great night last night.
curry night wednesdays is a good place to meet new people aswell.

The Arc tonight...join a team. It is a great way to get to know people and also learn something at the same time.

Carly, welcome to TT. I am a Pub Quiz regular and it is tonight at 8:00 PM but I am going there this afternoon around 2 PM to catch the cricket game. That means I am pretty much gonna spend rest of the day and evening at the pub (
The Arc). If you wanna come early and get to know a few people feel free to do so.

when doggie barks with that strange accent it usually means he's in iceland...

He's in Iceland; it's how the locals bark, apparantly.

How was your pub quiz Carly?
Was everyone on their best non-freak behaviour or did they just let their inner freaks run free and scare you away for good?

She obviously walked in, had one look then took immediate evasive action to get the hell out of there.
Fair enuff, I suppose.

Nice Parnell. Now you've got that pansy ass Nazareth song going in my head. Remind me to throw something at you sometime. Just to show I care like.
Loooooooooovvveve huuuuurrrrrts
love scares
love wounds and mares any heart
Not tough nor strong enough to take a lot of pain
Take a lot of pain
love is like a cloud
holds a lot of rain.
Love hurts
love hurts
I'm young I know but even so
I know a thing or two I've learned from you
I've really learned a lot
really learned a lot.
Love is like a stove
burns you when it's hot.
Love hurts
Loooooooooovvveve huuuuurrrrrts

I much prefer this one when I'm feelin daffy about a particular lady
Sit on my face and tell me that you love me
I'll sit on your face and tell you I love you too
I love to hear you oralise
When I'm between your thighs
You blow me away
Sit on my face and let my lips embrace you
I'll sit on your face and then I'll love you truly
Life can be fine if we both sixty-nine
If we sit on our faces
In all sorts of places
And play till we're blown awa.

Carly,
If you're still in town and looking for friends I have a few days off and suggest the following:
Perhaps a drink or meal on Monday
Breakfast on Tuesday
Look for a ring on Wednesday
Thursday we'll meet my parents
Friday we'll meet yours and break the good news
Saturday we profess our undying love for each other as we wed
Sunday off for a brief Honeymoon
How's that sound? Okay I hope... your rabbit's life depends on it!

this is the most hilarious thing i have ever read. thanks, carly, for a good laugh.
oh, dear. imagine the fun we could have in munich if you didn't decide to up and leave me here, with nothing to do but stumble across your old posts from your desperate days.
thank goodness you found the munich angels!
but, after four months in munich, have you come across anyone else but freaks, anyway?
