Never really been a big fan. Never disliked him either. My sister used to be really into him when she was younger so i may go just so i can wind her up. One of these days i will grow up... nah! biggrin.gif

Hello everyone. I'm new, and really don't belong here, because I'm from Moscow, Russia. Very sorry to interfere, people smile.gif
I'm just an Idolholic who stumbled upon this thread by accident. So I'd only like to clear a few things about Billy Idol:
1. The bike accident was in 1990, Billy nearly lost his leg in it, but he bounded back great, though he nearly died from drug overdose in 1994.
2. In 2001 he released Greatest Hits CD that sold over 1 million copies in USA only.
3. On March 2005 Billy released his first album of new material in 12 years. It's called 'Devil's Playground', and is absolutely brilliant. It is also critically acclaimed.
4. This year Billy is actively touring in USA, Canada and Europe to promote the new album. He already was in Germany in June, played a sold out gig in Hamburg and two huge rock festivals - all with great success.
5. Billy's 50th B-day will be on November, 30. And he'll meet it in Germany, playing a concert in Leipzig.
6. As one who attended an Idol live show (in June I flew from Moscow to Amsterdam to see him and the band for the 1st time in my life) I have to tell you - Billy and his Band are incredible. He's in fantastic physical shape, looks awesome, his voice is strong and beautiful, and the guys play for over 2 hours with passion, great love for the audience and true rock music. They are professionals of the highest calibre, they play almost all Idol super hits plus lots of songs from the new 'Devil's Playground'. Being in a live concert of Billy Idol is an opportunity that cannot be missed by anyone who appreciates best quality rock music.

That's about it, I hope this info was useful at least to some of you biggrin.gif
Oh yeah...and I'm planning to go to Germany in November and attend 4 Billy Idol's gigs there, LOL.

I saw Generation X once. That was enough.

However, King Rocker is still a good song.
