Trains from Stuttgart to Munich

I will be visiting Germany in ferbruary. I will be flying to Stuttgart but my final destination is Munich.

Anyone having valuable information on the cheapest way to arrive to Munich from Stuttgart please reply.

One of the cheapest would probably be a Schönes-Wochende (Happy
Weekend) ticket.

You can only travel on the slow trains though - will prob. take about 5 hours,
or something like that...

with the slow train it is only 3.5 hours from stuttgart to munich. ask the connection stuttgart-ulm-munich (all slow trains and you change once in ulm), takes 3.5 hrs. and costs €30.

with the ICE, the fastest train, costs around €45 and takes 2.15 hrs and you change nowhere.

take ic to ulm, change to slow train to munich, costs arond €35 and takes 3 hrs.

used to do this route all the time.

with your tix, you can use the public transport at your destination w/out having to buy an extra tix.
