Anybody heard of "Stasse"? Or do the BBC mean "Axel from Wilhelmstrasse in Munich"? There's something wrong here, surely?

maybe his name is Axel Wilhelm von Stasse and he lives in Munich. They may have just have translated "von " as "from"

Just a guess.

Stasse Muenchen in google results in: "Meinten Sie: straße münchen". And all the search results are misspelled "Strasses".

The Abendzeitung today says, "Axel Wilhelm from Riem".

Riem is on the east side of Munich, where the airport used to be.
