Hi
If one attaches tax card with return filed in Germany
What proof does one have for himself- to show in home country
regarding income earned and tax paid in germany - to avoid Double Taxation ??
Is there a way that we can have a duplicate tax card filled ??
or some statement from German goverment certifying/stating
the income earned and tax paid in Germany for a particular year

???
After you file your taxes and your filing has been processed, you will receive a Steuerbescheid from the Finanzamt, i.e. they will let you know in detail how much you have to pay in total for the year, and why.

The tax-card is not proof of total tax paid, as there may be all sorts of other taxes you paid which would not appear on this card (self-employed work, taxed investment, etc). The Steuerbescheid which you get after you file and your various claims are accepted is effectively the definitive proof of total tax liability or payment in Germany for any other authority
