Ice skating on Nymphenburg Canal (Jan 2004)

Anybody happen to cycle past the Nymphenberg Kanal, or know of a website or help line that tells you if you can currently skate there.

Its the girlfriend's birthday on Sunday, and will take here there of a little skating if my 104kg won't punch a hole in the ice.

Saw it in the abendzeitung yesterday that it is fully open for skating. You can also try Eisstockschießen, the bavarian version of curling (stuff can be rented). Fancy a go at that myself!

Lets hope the canals and ice bar don't melt too soon, because apparently a heat wave is starting on Sunday.

I'm not sure about Eisstockschießen, sounds more like a venereal disease than a sport ?
