Germany's Biggest Ice-Bar opens

From today, Germany's biggest ice bar is open just outside P1. They've built it along the lines of the famous Swedish Ice Hotels and have used about 100 tonnes of ice and snow.

The music will be primarily house with some surprise DJs making an appearance.

As they say in the promo info, this will probably be Munich's most temporary bar. Not limited by the authorities, contract or other factors but by the weather.

Since it's in the grounds around P1 and not within the nightclub itself entry will most likely be much easier than the normal crap in the club.

I wanted to take the girlfriend to the ice hotel in Sweden for her Birthday this weekend but didn't. This will be a good (poor) substitute !

Could do. Although generally I'm a follower rather than a leader, a lover not a fighter and so forth. If anyone's up for an outing Saturday, Feb 21st (7th is GNO and 14th is Valentines) then let me know. If enough people are interested then I'll put something together.

It'll be on the assumption that the bar hasn't melted by then (never typed that sentence before ).

Otherwise I'll setup something else. 'Tis about time I gave something back to the community

We tried to go at midnight on Sunday Feb 2, and it was closed, and covered in a tarp. We could have got into P1, in fact they practically went on their knees and begged us, it was completely empty.

I cycled past after curry on Feb 4, and it was just a pile of trashed snow. The cheap bastard had probably only used ice where it was visible and compressed snow elsewhere.

So it trashed all records only being open for 2 day !

Maybe they'll build it again but its gone for now.

Oh well. Thanks for that, could have been a wasted trip!
