Finally, the second picture (where you can see the people on the ground next to it) puts it's size into perspective. Pictures of it flying just make it look like a normal airplane.

BBC news is reporting that the first commercial flight will take place on 25 October, Singapore Airlines. home airport to Sydney.

One of Lufthansa's A380s will be named after Munich. LH traditionally names its planes after major German cities, the first "München" was a Boeing 707, christened in 1960.
Not that the A380 will be servicing the Munich airport ...
