Hi Ellie Flynn,

There's this thing on the internet called a search engine. One of them is 'Google' (www.google.com). If you enter search words, you get lots of results.

Here's an example for you : http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=pilate...3%BCnchen&meta=

Should you have any other search criteria, rather than just 'pilates München', let me know!

See, that's a slightly different question. Hope someone can help you. I'm not that nice, so I'm afraid I'm out of the question.

The Search engine is very helpful, but you never know when someone else has an extra tidbit to add. . . .

I've been quite a bit to Tanzprojekt in Schwabing. It's actually a dance studio, but they also have a pretty decent Pilates schedule. They do Mat classes as well as the ones on the machines (called Allegro). The classes are taught in German, but in my experience the teachers have also been perfectly fluent in English. I had never done a pilates class before I went there and it was fine, so I would say beginners welcome. . . . .

Dear Ellie Flynn,
There is an excellent Pilates Studio at Baldeplatz (opposite the Zoozie's restaurant). They offer classes for beginners, intermediates and people training to become Pilates teachers. The classes are typically a mixture of mat-work using balls, rollers fitness circles etc. and training on Pilates equipment (reformer, cadillac) a sort of weight resistance training. However, it is relatively expensive: group classes cost about 16 Euros (max. 7 people tho') for an hour and private lessons are about 56 Euros. It is a good idea to have a few private sessions before joining the group classes, but depends how keen you are and what you want to invest. The trainers are either native English speakers or speak English well. There are usually flyers outside the studio with contact numbers etc. Everyone is very friendly but professional. I have been going there for over 18 months and I really enjoy it.

holy sh*t. 56€ for a private session? a group class is how many times a week or is it €16 per single group class?
i guess i'll stick to karate.

A new studio has just opened right by my work:
Center Circle Pilates Studio
Looks like they deal well with English speakers. Group classes are about 15 euros each if you sign up for a 10 course program or 17 if you get a 10 class pass for 3 months. A trial class is 20. If anyone is interested, let me know & I'll probably join. I haven't visited it yet.
