Die Rote Sonne - New nightclub opening - Munich

The people from Disko B, Gomma & Pastamusik (who???) are opening their new club "Rote Sonne" (Red Sun) this weekend.

With a "specialist" music programme, no becks and no augustiner (microbreweries, bio-wine instead) they are setting themselves up to be the alternative to Harry Klein and the Registratur (and probably for a big fall!)

Upcoming bookings include acts from Disco Sportivo, Gomma, and Favorit Bar.

Fridays will be "electronic wildstyle" - Eddie Fowlkes, ARK, Rephlex etc etc etc.

Saturdays will be "Punk, Disco, Trash" - Andreas Dorau, I-F, Chicks On Speed...

Apparently it boasts a dancefloor built on glass over a large pool of water

They also will have only girls as doormen.

I just saw that Jamie Lidell is playing here on the 24th September,
which is a shame, because I have tickets for the Magic Numbers in the Atomic Cafe on the same night.
Should be a good concert, though.

worm runs out to go and get tickets to the magic numbers concert / can't believe that nearly slipped me by!

I listened to their album 5 times in the last two days, it's ace.
I saw a photo of the band this morning and that endeared me to them even more.
