Is amazing how much has been built already (because you can see it very well from the rooftop café bar of a certain employer...*cough*).

In the first week yeah, second week probably only every second evening.

7m visitors... 6m litres...?

Does that strike anyone else as strange?

As always, birthday celebrations at the fest, it doesn't get any better!!

Not really. A lot of kids during the day, people who don't drink, people who only drink Sekt. That number is visitors to the Wiesn, not necessarily drinkers in the tents.

And kids going for the fairground only.

Here's some quick math...could be all to cock but bear with me...

Total seats (inside & outside) is approx. 99,000.
Subtract the Weinzelt from this leaving 97,100.

6 million beers over 17 days => 350,000 per day

=> 3.6 litres per seat per day.

Figures are mixed since I think last year was shorter than 17 days which would up the LPSPD figure.

interesting figures, what are the opening times, is it 11 till 11?

Beer times are 10am to 10:30pm with a 9am opening at the weekends. Käfer and the Weinzelt stay open later till 1am I think.

Brilliant bit of math there Keydeck. No one ever seems to understand that figure and you sorted it for us. Forget Fermat's Last Theorem, you solved the mystery of the ages!

Any dates for a TT meet up?
Perhaps a "early doors, quiet drinks" midweek one?

Needless to say first Sunday and second Monday I already have a full dance card!
