Welcome, but try to be more specific. People here will help, but they need to know HOW!

you could give me names of malls or any nice place so i could visit there that is all ...

Your best bet to start with would be to use the search function in the upper right corner of this page. Most anything you'd want to know about visiting Munich has probably already been asked and answered at some point.

There's really no such thing as a "mall" here, but there are several areas where you can do shopping as you would in a mall, like Kaufingerstraße near Marienplatz. The closest thing to a mall would probably be Olympia Einkauf Zentrum, which has a stop named after it on the U-bahn (though I can't give you any more info on that, since I've never actually been there).

As for parks, you really should be more specific about what you're looking for. However, that said, the Englischer Garten would probably fulfill whatever needs you have in that category.

thanx alot ...

Hiya Alanoud. Welcome to Munich. A great site for planning a trip to Munich is the city's official visitors information site.. It has everything organized for the visitor, including a very useful section on shopping and the major shopping areas. The easiest places to find many shops is the city centre. Munich is a very specialized shopping area, i.e. lots of little stores that offer very specific kinds of goods, but if you're looking for everything in one store, your best bet is either the Galeria Kaufhof, the Karstadt, or the Hertie.

BTW: If your NOT looking for high end goods and souvenirs, the cheapest places to shop for household goods, clothes, electronics and just about everything you can think of all in one store is the walmart, you can find more insider information here.

Oh I nearly forgot, you can try this company for short term rentals. Never heard of them and they seem to have a four week minimum but it might be worth looking into since its not so easy to find a furnished house for three weeks. Also, all the Goethe Institutes keep a list of accomodations for their students, including boarding houses and apartment rentals, perhaps they'll be willing to share it with you.

PS: Best place to go in Munich in the summertime is the English Gartens. smile.gif

And the shopping centre at Reim which is bigger than the OEZ.

No it shouldn't.
It could be, but doesn't have to be.

If I understood you correctly (I normally don't) you are coming here for three weeks on a shopping spree. Why do you want to rent a house for just 3 weeks? You are perhaps better off staying at a hotel in the center where most of the shopping is anyway.

Can't add any more to the shopping recommendations already given.

Have a pleasant time in Munich and happy shopping smile.gif

Munich has three "mall" type shopping centres, but I imagine they do not compare with malls in the States, nor even with malls in some other countries. However, for information, they are PEP in Neuperlach in the southeast of Munich, as mentioned before the OEZ in the north of Munich and the newest one Riemarcaden in the east of Munich. Riemarcaden has an underground connection, carparking and various restaurants/cafés including Sushi and San Francisco coffee bar. Hope that helps. I think most TTers prefer the town centre with big department stores, but I am lazy and drive to the "malls".

" i hope that every one likes me >>"

That depends on you...

Beware though the German people are not overly welcoming and considerate towards foreginers especially if you expect to be liked.
Be open and friendly and have a good time smile.gif

Edits Irish Boy 24's post: Maximilianstrasse not Marienstrasse. Also designer shops on Briennerstr, like Tiffany (and I think Chanel is here too). U-Bahn for both roads is Odeonsplatz.
