Americans in Munich Stammtisch

Ever since 2002 we have been doing an Americans in Munich Stammtisch.

It usually takes place once a month. The exact day and location vary.

Check this TT Topic regularly to find out the latest 'where and when'. You can even subscribe to receive the updates by email.

Would it be okay if a new person were to come and bring a non American, or would that be taboo?

Newcomers are always welcome, as are non-Americans.

I think aef summed it up best in the thread before the last meetup: "It's a totally open group and everyone is invited. But it is mostly Americans so if you're not a fan of American english, jokes, and food, it might not be so enjoyable to you."

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
I just confirmed with the restaurant and it will be difficult to have more than 20 people. But, we stand at 15 now and there are always last minute changes so there should be no problem.

Any tips for locating you guys quickly when I get there? I backtracked through the thread, but didn't find the reservation name or any other instructions.

I will be running a little late. I should arrive around 8:30pm tonight.

grnflash, we'll be about 20 people speaking English. Should be enough.

And the reservation name is often "Toytown".

Thanks for the link, that made me laugh (conspicuously) out loud in the office! Now I just feel like it would be cheating to use the reservation name!
