Dirk's Leaving Party

Hola luverly people

For those that dont know, Dirk is sadly leaving this fair wee city and heading back to Holland this Saturday.

So I thought it would be nice to organise a wee get together to mark this occasion and give him a real Toytown send off...plan is to send him on his way with the most evil of hangovers ...sorry Dirk but it has to be done!

So the plan...

Start of in Murphy's after work (about 6 or 7, but there will probably be a few there earlier than this if u want to start earlier...)

Go see Hazza's band in Neuperlach, and get a-groovin to the sounds of The Stones, then head back into town for some more groovin (and v cheap beverages) at Nachtgalerie.

Answers on a postcard please from all those interested in sending the big man off in style...

I will, of course, be there with bells on - the Nachtgalerie is of course one of Munich's premier nightspots, and certainly a personal favourite of mine.

That's right, the Nachtgalerie is a premier hotspot of Munich! I will probably join up early, but not to the Nachtgalerie, since the day after is going to be a boarding day. (Which means that I get up by the time the others leave the Nachtgalerie... )

Yes indeed, P1, Pacha, Nachtgalerie, the Schiller Cafe & Burgerking in Hbf. Munich's hotspots!

And therein is every argument you'll ever need against boarding - if it infringes on Nachtgalerie time, it ain't worth doing...

I'll be there for Murphys and for the Hazzas band. However I'll have to give Nachtgalerie a miss, coz I'm planning on skiing the next day early!

Well let's see... I wanna chill with Dirk and pay only 0,5 Euro for a beer while watching fat 'professional' male dancers. Any idea where I can find such a place?

Nachgalerie is for you then DrivinWest...or we could try out a decent male strip club if thats more your bag! Im sure some of us ladies wouldnt mind keeping you company there...

Dirk I'm in man! You can count on getting tanked on friday. Or as we americans say "getting tossed off our ass" (getting wasted), which to you Brits means something totally different.

You forgot to add "...and beat off when we get home"...

The Americans are by and large a great people, but when I watch them slaughter my language like that, I have to cringe. What's wrong with having a hand shandy I ask you?

I'll probably hook up with everyone after the gig. I think we'll start at around 9pm and play for 2 hours or so. Try not to get there too late or you'll miss it.

So, for tomorrow night then can we have a show of hands (...well err posts) to see who is going to be making an appearance, either in Murphys or Dirty Work tomorrow night. Would be good to see some faces we havent seen in a while...and obviously an absolute pleasure to share a few beers with those who just cant keep away!!

Well, I believe we're mostly gonna meet in Murphys, or I guess in the venue itself??? I think the plan was to meet at Murphys and then grab an U-Bahn from there...

Hazza wants to start at 8:30 so would have to be leaving Murphys just before 8, then u-bahn to Odensplatz, and U5 to Neuperlach-Zentrum. Maybe see you in Murphys then.

Surprise, I'll be coming too!
My flight to London last night was canceled and the only flight they could offer me was Sat. afternoon, but I would be coming back Sunday evening. So just asked for my money back and will go a different weekend.

Too bad though. I was looking forward to it. I was all pumped up after listening to my Coldplay and Beatles CDs! Ha!

I've got vacation today, so I'm going clothes shopping in Munich and then I'll come to Murphy's around 6 or 7.

Ahh... I've heard there are a few flights to England cancelled because of the weather. Hope my flight is not cancelled on Monday.

Apparently, spoke to my sister last night, they have one complete day of snow which nobody was expecting, and its brought half the system down, trains, airports, motoways, etc.

Britain just does not know what snow is ! they get it about once a year, and its always the same story !

I've got people visiting this weekend. Hope they make it in.

hey, last time you were seen was at 7 am in Ubahn sendlinger tor after having very delicious Kässpätzle in Lamm's. The best food after Nachtgalerie :-)
