P1 - Munich's top 'nobel' nightclub

Hi!

I'm coming for a weekend to Munich, and somebody told me P1 was a nice club to go partying...

Anyone visited recently? Does it exist?

have never been inside but as its 'Roof less' and as u can check out the place from the top ( from those who know what I mean), It would be a fabulous decision if the weather stays good.

get fancy! they're picky at the door.. and bring some dough.. drinks are expensive. it's nice inside, but don't expect to to hook it up cause most everyone in there is too good for everyone else.

Have been a couple of times. Really don't think it's worth the effort. Granted I'm not really into clubs but depending on what you are looking for on your night out you can get much better elsewhere.

Was wondering if one has to pay to go in or is it a free entry like the 8 Seasons

Schicki Micky as you like. Music is not exactly cutting edge either. Atmosphere is exclusive in the sense that they like to exclude people. A mix of B-listers, wannabees, businessmen and the occasional proper celeb. The place has a lot to offer in terms of eye candy, but what counts is the clout of your credit card and mark of your car above looks, personality and confidence. When I first arrived in Munich I was a member of P1 for about a year and went 2 or 3 times a week. I went to the Sommerfest last week and that was the first time I had been in over 6 months. IMHO you go to P1 partly to say you go to P1, but there are a lot of bars all over Schwabing with friendlier people, better atmosphere and drink prices that don't require a 3rd Mortgage.

Been there once for a work after party...will not return. Full of the pretty folk stuck too far up their own botties

on weekends, you generally have to be a stammkunden- (regular) to get in, unless you are on an invite list. It is Schicky Micky, but I like people watching once in a while, makes the evening fun.

Epitomises everything I DON'T like about Munich!

I went years ago for a Compaq after football piss up, we drank the place dry as we didnt have to pay the bill and seriously pissed of some regulars who had "reserved" their personal bar stool, we where still in the process of doing our drink thing and were not going to move from the bar untill we were well pissed, a serious club for the anal element of Munich.

My suggestion as you are from Barcalona would be to go to one of the more normal clubs for the less anal retentive, they have about the same level of eye candy but the eye candy doesnt look at you like dog shit on a shoe if you try and talk to them.

I'll have dinner in Schwabing and check TT's bars and club recommendations...Pacha is a spanish club franchise, been to Ibiza's, Barcelona's, Sitges', Palma de Mallorca's...why not a tick on Munich's¿? Is it as classy as P1?

Pacha is closed at the moment as it is moving to a new venue that opens some time in the autumn.

Maybe check out a club like Prinzip = small and cosy yet full of clued up, slightly older clubbers and a good amount of cute chicas who are friendly too.
