We are moving a bed and a washing machine and will be putting about 500km on the vehicle.
Rental companies want about 350 euro for this service.
Anyone have some money saving ideas or recommendations?
Thanks!

We rented a very big van for a weekend for 150€ from Buchbinder (and drove up to Nurnburg and back which is over 500km) in Munich. Just call them, they do have a website but you bet a better deal when you call them.
Also, there is thread already existing giving the run-down on other places to rent from. Just do a search on van or something like it.

The van that I was supposed to use during the weekend for moving is no longer available. Crap. So, now I need to rent one somewhere. Any recommendations for where I could rent a not-too-expensive van (VW Transporter, Iveco or something like that) for one day? Thanks!

Ok, I found this company called
vwbusmieten.de which has some good deals on vans for passengers or cargo. I rented one for the weekend (Sat-Mon) for 125 euro. It's a good deal compared to what sixt, europcar, hertz and the others offer.

I think I paid €74 per day at
Sander (
Leopoldstrasse just north of
Münchner Freiheit) for a Sprinter, so a smaller van would be cheaper. Question is if they still have any short-term.

Sander looks good, haven't seen that one before. But for both Sander and Buchbinder the lowest fares are for rentals during the week. On weekends (Saturday) Sander starts at 95.00 and Buchbinder doesn't have any prices (or I couldn't find them) online for Saturdays. Sander would have been cheaper than what I found and I don't need the van more than one day, but who knows if they would have anything available as of today; and I already booked the other one. But thanks for the suggestions. At least there's some fresh info for the next one.
