a month ago it happened to me that i bought an MVV ISARCARD (expensive munich stuff) for 3 rings in an Huaptbahnhof private counter. when i came out i was encountered by a woman asking something in deutsch regarding the card. thinking that she was asking as to where to buy the card, i pointed her the counter where i bought. on the contrary she asked me again and MAN!!! she was asking me if she can take a copy of my isarcard

...ooooooo then i rejected and came to my office..still with the shock in my mind.."do such thing happen...do such people exist in munich" moreover...IS MY CARD THAT I BOUGHT PAYING 45€ IS GENUINE...i would suggest that you buy only from the
MVV counter and not anymore outside...

You can go to
www.isarcardabo.de and order a monthly card. They deduct it from your bank account monthly and cut you a deal on the price. You also get 2 months free if you sign up for the year. Also, they mail it to you.

Anwalt,
Can you cancel the Annual ticket and get your money back for the unused months. I think this is what it was suggesing in the small-print on the billboard.

Iam nearly 100% sure you can cancel it at any stage. When you apply you get mailed all 12 months of which you only pay for 10. They only take the money monthly so if you pull out you don't get a refund because you haven't paid them anything other than the months you have used. The reason for them taking your money monthly is so that if they hike the prices they can take the new amount. Oh by the way it is your final 2 months of the 12 you get for free.

I think most of the sales outlets in any of the stations sell tickets as well as
Isar cards, I dont think you have got a fake one, to be honhest I dont think i have ever heard of fake ones...has anyone?
when you buy a year ticket - is that 12 months from when u buy... or to the end of the year?
second option wouldn't make much sense - but anything is possible in lalaland...! :-)

I"m pretty sure it is 12 months from when you buy. I haven't signed up yet because I already have a card for July. When I start in August, I'll let you know.

It's 12 months starting the month you buy it so if you're more than halfway through the month, buy a couple weeklies and start the abo the next month.
Unused months are fully refundable.
If you have to change it to be good in more (or fewer) rings, you'll only pay (or be refunded) the difference from that month onward; no extra charges.
I strongly recommend getting the non-transferable abo (has your name on it); if it's lost/stolen/destroyed you can get a fresh one for a €5 fee. Lose the transferable one and you're out a lot of money (and yes, you have to pay for the remaining months on it).
woof.
