Looking for a job

Hi y'all

Greetings to all!
I am an American woman that is planning on staying in Munich for a few months, possibliy longer. (Need a job). I have a few friends there, however, I have only recently contaced one of them. I love meeting new people and going to new places! I am very outgoing and open-minded.

I am currently a Realtor , with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies. Most of my past careers involed Marketing/Sales of some sort. However, I also have a strong passion to work with children. I have had that opportuniy on several occasions to pursue this occupation. In fact, I workd in Austria at a Summer camp for 4 months.

Well, here is my dilemma, I cannot (at this time) speak German at all!
I have read over some of the post and ideas you all have written and have a few good suggetions to considered. If anyyone would like to give me some direct ideas, I would greatly apprecaite it.

I enjoy this site and I look forward to meeting some of you , if not all! smile.gif

Welcome to Toytown!

The fact that you don't speak German needn't be a problem; there are lots of English-speaking jobs available in Munich. The first place to start would be Toytown's very own Job Forum. With your background in marketing, you should be able to find something.

Also check out the Jobs in Munich page.

Hope you make it over here - it's worth it!

hey good luck! i'm here as an au pair. so i'm working for a family and taking care of their kids. part of my job is speaking/teaching english to the kids. perhaps you can find something like this? (want my job? hahaha!). the family is currently away on vacation this week, but when they return i'll let them know there's others around and see if they have friends who need people to help out? at least, although not a professional job, it'll be somethign to tide you over a bit, you know?
where in the US are you from?
oh- and dont worry i speak not a word of German either (unfortunately and hopefully that'll change!)
if you're ever bored let me know! smile.gif i'm always up for doing stuff with people!

I'm here as an aupair as well! its rough at times but the kids speak quite a bit of english so its pretty good, I am also looking for ways to make more money, the mum suggested doing english lessons at the local schools... so I'm going to try that out!
