the gist:
bunch of idiots break into Hellabrunn zoo, nick beer bottles and ice cream from a kiosk, get drunk, throw bottles on the poor tiger and finally get into a quarrel with each other. The American gets beaten up and is left unconscious on the grounds.

Should be made to go into the tiger pen, pick up their rubbish and apologise to the inhabitants.

Was it Perdido?
He's an American.
I just said that, Perdido, cause I saw you viewing topic.
Well it's no 26 yr old american that is reading this right now, because apparently the idiot is still in hospital. After that, he may end up in jail.

the report only says WHO was found unconscious in the Tierpark. but there is no REAL infomation on WHY. sure, you can jump to conclusions (as is natural, so go ahead, use your pre-dispositions - that's what they are there for).
but remember, the story could be that a group of (insert nationality here) broke in to the Tierpark to cause trouble, when our hero (the 26 yr old American) - who happened to be passing by - lept to defend the animals! Our hero struggled against the thugs, and although he had the strength of his convictions and the drive that comes with fighting for a good cause on his side, he was soon overpowered by the (insert nationality here) terrorist-want-to-bes. After being overpowered and beaten unconscious, our hero was left for dead - but luckly he was found by zoo staff, who then called for medical help. Perhaps, one day, our hero will be able to tell the story of this brave action!
it could have happened that way.
or he could have been one of the idoits.
who knows?

You should "expect" the whole world if full of idiots. They are everywhere.
You're right Chicago. I like the way you think. My vote goes for Chicago for judge and I'll certainly be calling you to defend me next time the gun in my hand and my demands for all the money in the till are 'misunderstood'.
Maybe the idiot thought he was either Siegfried/or and Roy - they supposedly stole their original Cheetah from somewhere in Germany.

I can remember an Australian and an American climing over the fence at the zoo to collect fire wood for an
Isar party. They always came back with wood, but never really knew who's pen they were in. I used to hold my breath until Chris & Brandon, ahem Skippy & "friend" came back with more wood.
note; not the Toytown Brandon, another one.

Wait, this is the
Munich Zoo, right? I was only there once a few years ago, but I thought the big cats were in some indoor set up behind glass. How were they trying to feed it ice cream? By smearing it on the window?
Good thing they didn't go to the ferocious koala exhibit. You know how the drop bears are. One reach in with a beer bottle and drop bear would've leaped out of the gum tree like a fuzzy little ninja, ripping the Bush Voter's black heart out and shown it to him before he died. Then, for good measure, he'd have drunk the beer because, you know, he's Australian. The tiger would've drank half the beer, gotten on the table, screamed out "ich bin der anton aus tirol!" and then passed out in a puddle of his own vomit since, you know, he's Asian.

Wow.

I didn't know Koala Bears are like that! I thought tigers are from Africa?

I have it from from someone who works at tier park that this guy was lured into the park by these german nationals who actually intended to kick the life outta this poor guy,the reason the police have this info is because when they found him almost dead, they managed to ask him some quick questions before he passed out,and as far as i know he is in a coma, and is not expected to live.I was told ,the main reason for the police not making this completly public is because,if the bastards that did this got wind of the extent of his injuries it may make it that little bit harder to track them down.
maybe i shouldnt be telling u all this, but knowing that and seeing some of the stuff written about this guy ,we should hold judgement until we know all the facts, not that we are mind readers

Soory to hear the news about the poor guy. I thought it was a classic case of too much beer on the
Isar and break into the zoo for more firewood syndrome.
I hope the guy pulls through and the police find the people or person responsible.

According to the
police website yesterday, the police arrested 2 guys on July 9, who have been identified by the American as the ones who beat him up. Someone working at the zoo remembered that 2 youths had been caught hanging around in the Tierpark the day before the incident, and had had to give their personal details, so it wasn't hard to catch them...
"Lebensgefahr bestand nicht" - the American's life was not at risk, but during interviews the 2 guys (aged 16 and 20) have shown that they did not care whether he lived or not while they punched and kicked him, and have therefore now been arrested for attempted manslaughter.

If there are any tigers in Africa they are only in a zoo! Do they have zoos in Africa?, it would seem a little pointless. If you still think I'm winding you up, read this,
