"Leberspatzle Suppe" as just served up by her indoors. Anyone care to offer an accurate translation into English based on the enclosed picture?

Johnny, I like your plates, where'd you get them?
mrbobke
How about "Examination shelf 'Dumplings' in a Vitamin C Pee broth" (no offence to Her Indoors cool.gif )

Habitat "Scraffito" as here:

http://www.habitat.co.uk

Do a search on "scraffito". The bowls and mugs are great - only downside is slight tendency to scratch on the white surfaces over time and plates can chip at the edges as well, but we use 'em for "everyday".

Bit of a nightmare to bring back from the UK however 'cos this stuff is heavy.

Me and my 7 year old call it "rat shit soup" as from today...

who is this 'herr indoors' that everyone talks about?? cool.gif
Keydeck
In England, the wife is sometimes jokingly referred to as "Her Indoors". Presumably that's what mrbobke meant. This being Germany, the 'Her' became 'Herr' for some people to refer to the bloke in their lives.

Disclaimer: See, she who knows who she is. I can be helpful too wink.gif

To answer your question, the translation is roughly liver noodle soup. Doesn't look great, I'll admit, but I'm quite fond of it myself!!

I saw a Science Fiction film the other night on VOX. The aliens who were about to take over the world by leaving into the brain and controlling the nervous system looked very much like this picture...

Tell me, have been having thoughts of late? Something like..Hmmm wouldnt it be great if I ruled the world...

If so, then they have already got to you...

I've an idea:

Fear Factor America Challenge: eat a bowl of Leberspätzle soup...

On second thoughs: no one would do it probably.
