I have a new in box Sideswipe (Red Countach) Autobot Transformer that isn't going for under 500€. No, it probably isn't worth that much I'm not sure where I'd ever get another.

Got a load of used Transformers at home - one is a Lambo, but it was a Fire Dept Lambo if memory serves, a fire truck, a whole load of small planes and one big plane that you stick together to make a really big robot thing and of course Optimus Prime...happy days, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of them now...

Yeah, I remeber that guy. Funny, a Lamborghini with lights and sirens never seemed absurd as a kid.

Try ebay - there are always plenty of old toys on there. The only problem there is that as a buyer you'll be on the losing end of the transaction - the prices can get quite high for the rarer stuff.
Also try looking out for the specialist toy fairs that are held sometimes - there will be flyers pasted to walls etc. Check the DVD, book and comic fairs too - they often have a small section devoted to toys.

No, but now it seems a travesty - a countach owned by the NYFD - that would be quite a budget stopper that when the chief suggests he wants a 100 grand sports car so he can get to the fire in true Miami Vice style.

On the same note, I collected Spider-man comics for over 14 years, but they don't have them in English here that I can find.

There are 'original language' cinemas... any one know of 'original language' comics?
Maddul, there is this retro looking shop that I have never ventured into yet, just north of Man-Fat on Barer Strasse on the west side of the street. Don't know if their stuff is just junk though. (around 55 BarerStr.)

Ever heard of G.I. Joe Europe comic books?? I picked up a few in Kansas City of all places. Obvious propaganda from those American imperialist pigs.

The Fire Dept. Lambo was called Red Alert. What a cool name. I'm gonna name my 1st born after him.

Hey guys,
nice to see some people with similar interests. Thanks for all the great suggestions.
DrivinWest I´m affraid your expectatiosn are too high. That transformer is a nice piece but pretty common to find, and for much more reasonable prices.Last one today on ebay.de finished at arround 30, but is was perfect MIB, never opened.I just want to point out that I AM NOT a reseller. That is I do not buy the toys to sell them on ebay or to others.I know people who do so and though there is nothing wrong with it, I generally dont approve seeing its usually guys like me(the nostalgic collectors) that then have to pay the extra premium on the missing piece to their collection. That said, as regards to transformers I can say that from what I´ve seen, given the shere number of models and versions produced they generally dont go into the astoundingly absurd price range.Only a few very rare examples, that were generally hard to find at the time do, but most given their pretty common distribution are reltively easy and cheap to come by.Also depends on where you´re buying.Germany is generally more interested in other toys, like Lego and Playmobil.
Jimbo let me know exactly what you got (condition of each piece) and how much you would be willing to sell for.You got my email right?
I generally only look for G1 transformers, but not all models interest me.I´m really desperate for Apeface and his brothers (Other headmasters).I had him for only about 3 weeks when I was 10, but then lost him and have tried to find another till this day.
Anyway keep me posted,
max

Ur email is in your profile - I'm afraid they're probably pretty smashed up these days - they were never exactly the best made toys in the world, and some of the fights Optimus Prime inexplicably had with the other Autobots in my bedroom took their toll I'm afraid.
Nevertheless I'll get mum to dig them out and try and get dad to take some photos so I can email you - I have no idea what their names were - I found Red Alert on ebay.

Ebay is a great palce to find old stuff. but I´m affriad as many said that the prices the stuff reach due to the massive amount of people bidding, kinda makes it almost impossible to complete a collection.

If you mean to pay for stuff bought from a US seller on Ebay, your easiest (and cheapest in terms of fees and exchange rates) option could be to use PayPal.
