I was hoping to finally get some work done this week, but it takes heaps of time to go through and negative karma all my enemies and positive karma all my mates EVERY FRIGGEN 60 minutes! Was a long night last night I tell ya... Can we have the inter-vote standdown period increased to a day please? I shouldnt be lazy, I should really just script something up...

I just got my first negative karma!

I suggest only looking at your karma points once a day...they come and they go...first you have a ton of positive karma headed your way...then your in the gutter...

What sux is that you don't know for which posts or who sent you the negative karma ... chances are it's either some bein vindictive or some bein playful. Don't see the harm in knowing.

hmmmm. Only thing I don't understand is that if you send someone good karma, you get negative karma. Shouldn't that make no difference to your own karma? Or if it does, shouldn't you be rewarded for sending good karma to others?

Yeah the term "karma" is a bit of a tricky thing too. Much better would be "logically valid" or "logically invalid".

Surely the TRUTH of a post, or its logical validity is far more important than such airy fairy concepts as usefulness or interestingness...

I would like to request that next to each user is a running total oh much Good and Bad Karma they have given out. That should show not just what the forum thinks of them, but how they actually behave within themselves too.

Actually I have been giving the good karma to those posts that make me laugh! Its much better than putting the smiley face...which I do way to much anyway

We should form karma clubs, so we all boost the karma of people in our own club, and reduce the karma of people in our enemy karma clubs. Then we can find out which club rulez.

It would be cool if the karma points were collected per post, not to the user. Then add in a threshold viewing level, change your name to /.Toytown, and enjoy some freedom from ridiculous posts
