A few days ago, I gave karma to a very new member of Toytown for a useful informational post. When I looked today, their name was not on the karma list. I doubt they have opted out of the karma already, but I can't check it.

What's going on?

Try and give them karma again, on another of their posts? If they are opted out, like Jimbo then it gives you a message.

They only have the one post.

I'd like to know why my karma dropped 8 points overnight... Im not bothered by who , but Id like to know which of my opinions inspires the most distaste , that way I can rabbit on far more about it.

Anonymous karma means that folks can just vote based on popularity rather than use their heads to come up with valid arguments - all which would lead to a more animated (read entertaining) discussion.

Of course targeting an audience would be far better but no chance eh ? On another board users are forced to actually leave karmic messages which explain the whys of their karma votes - wud be nice.
