The Beatles live in Munich. At Frauenstrasse 16, to be precise:

Nice. How did you come across this? Just by walking down Frauenstrasse and randomly noticing it?
This is next the Viktualienmarkt, right?
Clearly this can't be the original Beatles though. John Lennon and George Harrison are both dead.

Harrison is dead? Maybe I should get a TV after all...

Yeah, he succumbed to cancer (I think) last year. Sucks doesn't it. It is just Paul and Ringo now.

Yes, that is the sad part.

Anyone who does not know that it's only Paul and Ringo left should be very ashamed of themselves (to put it nicely)!!! What age are you guys living in??! We are talking about the best band that has EVER been!!

Big Raspberry, Mr.T.!
I don't have a tv and work considerable hours in a non-creative type job and have 2 kids who are not quite beatles fans (yet). yada yada.

That's funny! Made me think about my recent trip back home to San Diego- we met with friends in the "Penny Lane Pub"...(wall to wall Beatles and British memorabilia)

Anyone that think that the early years of the Beatles career produced anything of musical worth should either be ashamed of themselves, or openly admit that they like "Take That", thus rendering their opinion null and void anyway. Sie liebt dich...*shudder*

I've noticed that The Beatles tend to be more highly regarded in Germany nowadays than they are in the UK.
Same with Right Said Fred.
And, of course, The Hoff.

I've heard that there's a pub in San Francisco dedicated to the Beatles that's apparently built to look just like the Cavern.

I wonder if someone is taking the piss here? (not you, Malcolm, of course!)
The following names have registered telephones at Frauenstr. 16 (i.e. in they are in the phone book!):
Regina Eggersdorfer
Robert Obermaier
Cocoon am Viktualienmarkt
Robert Obermaier
Julius Kerscher
Finotto Corrado Café-Bistro du Marchaé
Marianne Wundsam
Benjamin Bauer
Roland Wolf
Felix Bredschneider
From MS's photo I can read (I think!) the following names in addition to the Fab Four: Braun, Wundsam, Mangels, Sartorei, Jensen, Nunez.
With the exception of Frau Wundsam there's pratically no correlation between those "registered" at this address, and those shown on the doorbell.
I do see that the plate shows "Vordergabäude", so there may be a ""Rückgebäude" at the same place with some of these folks, but even then the hit-rate is remarkably low (approx 10% of the German public are NOT in the phone book).
And of course, would so many poeple with very English names be even likely to live in the same block? - I'm not sure ...
Nice story, anyhow...
