Searching on TT

I was just wondering whether anybody else occasionally checks what TT'ers or guests search for? It's sometimes quite worrying.. Adding to the current Michael Jackson debate I saw that someone searched for "nude children" at 05:54 this morning...

I'm not sure which is more worrying actually - that, or that someone has been searching for "3 Lions" about every half hour today...

I'd be worried about the searches for 'Nude Children'.

If it's a registered user I would certainly want to know why the hell they are searching for 'nude children'. If they can't give a decent reason (and I can't think of one) then I would consider banning them.

surely they were looking for a Jackson discussion? (no, I was not up at that time...). if not then of course it's more disturbing than searching for 3 Lions. but if it's some weirdo, surely this wouldn't be the site to search...

Well, if you were looking for the Michael Jackson discussion, wouldn't you rather use Michael + Jackson as keywords rather than nude children?

well, yes, of course. trying to come up with a decent alternative...I still don't think this would be the site to search. Maybe it was a mod making sure no one was posting anything untoward?

Well, the 'nude children' thing listed next to 'nude places' 'nude' etc... so even though I know we all love a big evil mystery I would have assumed it's just someone looking for a nudist area to go with the family or something.

Not that I'm trying to ruin a chance for a thread to turn into a huge conspiricy about who on TT is looking up kiddie porn though. I will now step aside and let the witch hunt begin.

Nude children though, I mean, come on, I cannot think of any reason to do that search that would wash with me.

Because someone typed in the search to provoke this very thread. Possibly even the thread starter.

Witch hunt? How? Conspiricy? Why? One shouldn't close ones eyes for these things, but one should be aware. Sure, it could be anything harmless, but even so it helps to be aware. And I was just wondering how many others here on TT are aware.

My life isn't that boring that I need to provoke reaction from TT users. And at 05:54 you will not find me i.f.o. my computer already.. I also very much doubt anybody else would think of doing that at such a ridiculous time of the morning - just to provoke a thread.

Hi all,

I expected a lot of people to be offended by this post. Somehow insinuating that TT is "bad" in some way. The person that did the search did not have to be a forum member. I often check the searches because I use the search functionality myself now and then, especially before posting a new topic. I have often noticed people searching for forum members repeatedly and thought it funny in a way. But I have never seen someone searching for "nude children". Maybe it really has something to do with the Jackson story after all. But at that time of the morning? Here be weirdos.

MajorBummer - there's often searches for things like 'group sex', 'porn', 'naked women' etc.. half of them are probably serious, the other half maybe not.. but I wouldn't worry too much.
Yes, I do have that much free time on my hands.

Group sex, porn.. who cares? That's normal. The naked children bit I found abnormal. Children should be protected. But no, I am not that worried. Like I said, it doesn't have to be someone from the forum.

maybe someone was searching for that famous picture of the napalmed Vietnamese kid running down the road
