Where to play soccer for free

Are there many free spots about where one can go and kick a ball about where there are actually established posts in the ground?
eurovol
All over the place. They are marked as spielplatz on most maps. Many are only for kids though, but if it is free, then go for it, but be prepared to give it up when a bunch of kids show up. If your nice, they might even let you join in. Don't be sad if they kick you butt. wink.gif

Hirschgarten - directly south of the beergarden.

Right next to where we play/train for Aussie Rules

Could try Luitpoldpark - about a 5 minute walk up towards the Olympic Tower from Leonrodplatz.

There is a five-a-side pitch (concrete) oppostie the George-elsa-halle(sp?) at Ostbahnhof.

there used to be goal posts on the grassy stretch along the eastern side of the Isar going down towards Flaucher. not sure if they are still there, though.

Would anyone be interested in playing outdoors on a regular basis throughout the summer similiarly to what gets organized for touch rugby and ultimate frisbee? Maybe make a TT event out of it?
Schotte
ive started playing with a group of mates. we would likely be up for a game come challenge if you were interested and could raise a team of 8-10 people?

so yes, interested. smile.gif

OK! I'll do a poll at some point to figure out if anyone is interested in doing something concretely and we'll take it from there.

Why not use jumpers?

Little boys in the park. Jumpers for goalposts. Marvelous, isn't it?

great stuff.

jumpers are all well and good, but sadly penalise god's gifts to fussball such as i, so many disputes over those top corner curled in free kicks... smile.gif

im up for regular weekend footy...
bummer
...or weekday as well actually...

there are always people in the english garden between seehaus and chinese tower playing, and coats for goals is the rule, albeit usually with very narrow goals... and remember, no offside in the park! goal-hang!!

ps: pretty crowded on weekends, and people will always come up and want to jump in, so probably best to arrange a midweek session if you want to keep control on numbers and that.
