So Hazza and the Lions go 4-0. Still some game up in the air.

I am hoping that Carr has a great day and wins the spot, I think Carr could prove to be a more valuable than Delhomme in Carolina.

Sorry to say this but I think Carr now has Jake Plummer syndrome. its hard in the NFL, not impossible, to bounce back from being pounded into the turf five times a week. You get that deer in headlight syndrome and its basically over. Kubiak is a genuis with qbs and for him to give up on Carr tells me something. I wish you the best though CJ and not to downplay your player.

Speaking of plummer will come back to play for the 'fins? They still hold rights to him this year and they could use a space filler right now.
crouchjay
Hey P, I know you are right, but Carr is a Bakersfield boy or Kern County and I must represent. I think he just needs a few games to settle in.

Tampa Bay is a seriously underrated team though. Since Seattle made a joke out of them, they have been out for blood. It is actually pretty nice to see them stomping around without anyone whispering a word about them. I think Carr did actually very well for being a backup and not knowing the offense like a starter against Tampa Bay.
PES
So the Lefties and the Hail Marys both get their first wins! The Marys by the skin of their teeth...

PES
Week four...

eurovol
Is the Cheese crying in that pic? I would be! wink.gif

At least no one is winless now.
PES
My opponents have over 400 points against the Lefties. Christ! I have faced both Hazza (whose opponents have 268 points against) and 3 Lions (330 against) already. Things should get better. I guess it helped to have Brees on a bye. ohmy.gif
Courchene
all of my losses have been painful...
at least this time, I did not have the added shock of the ineligibility (no points) of a brilliant Special Teams touchdown

but there's no crying in fantasy football.
perdido
Jesus 1 and 3. I have not been 1-3 since that first year.
3 Lions
I have Brady & Moss to thank for my streak.

I give thanks to my team for mine. tongue.gif

Lots of adding and dropping today... boy we sure know how to have a day off from work. cool.gif

Perdido - nice FA pickup in Selvin Young...

Henry, Travis RB DEN
News: Myfoxcolorado.com, Fox Channel 31 out of Denver, is reporting Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has tested positive for marijuana and might be subject to a one-year suspension. While playing for the Tennessee Titans in 2005, he received a four-game suspension. Henry missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday due to an ankle and knee injury. The New York Post goes on to say he filed a lawsuit to keep the NFL from using the result of a drug test to suspend him, according to court papers filed in a Brooklyn, N.Y. federal court. Papers filed on Monday by the NFL in federal court suggested that Henry may have failed the test because the documents stated Henry was trying to stop the league from testing his specimen and "suspending from his employment with the NFL."

Löwenbrau (3) Lions

After a few weeks off, the spotlight returns and is falling on the Löwenbrau (3) Lions. The Lions have a strong pedigree, having won the league championship in 2005 and showing up in 3rd place in 2007. Owner 3 Lions (not a rookie) has to be pleased with the team's red-hot 4-0 start.

How are they doing it? The Lions were fortunate enough to draw the #2 spot in the draft and grabbed Steven Jackson in the first round. Despite Jackson's poor performance this year, that was the easy part of the draft. The Lions really showed their mettle with their subsequent draft picks, particularly in picking up the passing combination of Tom Brady and Randy Moss. This Patriot duo are both in the top 10 scorers for the season to date, with Moss being the only non-quarterback in the top 10. The Cowboys, drafted in the 7th round, are the #2 defense so far this year. Late round draft picks Greg Jennings and LenDale White are also showing strong signs for the remainder of the year.

Löwenbrau (3) Lions - 2007 Draft
1 - Steven Jackson (RB-STL)
2 - Tom Brady (QB-NE)
3 - Edgerrin James (RB-ARI)
4 - Deion Branch (WR-SEA)
5 - Randy Moss (WR-NE)
6 - Adam Vinatieri (K-IND)
7 - Cowboys (D-DAL)
8 - Alge Crumpler (TE-ATL)
9 - Greg Jennings (WR-GB)
10 - Steve McNair (QB-BAL)
11 - Adrian Peterson (RB-CHI)
12 - LenDale White (RB-TEN)

Will the Löwenbrau (3) Lions continue to maul their way through the league? Will the absence of Steven Jackson catch up to the team? If Jackson starts playing like he did last year, could this team be unstoppable? Will 3 Lions trade in his Bears jersey for a Patriots jersey? Stay tuned.

The Lefties will punish him tomorrow!

i should have complimented you on adding the insurance policy for your THenry draft pick, rather than referring to it as a FA pickup

the cheese need a win today !!!
eurovol
The Hail Mary's are behind the 8 ball. I want to see some production from my team.
eurovol
I knew I should have played Stallworth today.
PES
yes, you should have.
eurovol
I was considering putting him in for Johnson. At least I have 5YTP and Buffalo and Denver are going to kick some ass.
3 Lions
Grrrr Kris Brown, you'd better do another 30 points next week!!

well it was more for the fact he is from UT and I got to see him play in preseason. I knew Shanahan prefers a running back by committee approach so I took a chance.

Who are the space rats? Is that DW?
Hazza
Crouchjay is Space Rats...
PES
Hazza is going undeated this year.
perdido
Seasons not over yet.

FYI Champ Bailey is out of the game and Bly is looking woozy.
eurovol
I ain't done yet PES.
Joliet Jake
More heartbreak for the Waterboys. Congrats to the Eskimos, eh?
canuck
Yep, that was a close one, eh? You should've played Shockley, eh?
eurovol
I think I just might regret not playing Stallworth even more. Romo needs to have a bad bad game.
crouchjay
I am disgraced to be a Seattle fan.
Joliet Jake
You should be. ANY sign of life from Alexander or that defense could have saved my week!
perdido
Hence the reason I dropped that Defense. Romo has 4 picks in two quarters and buffalo seems to think its in the superbowl.
PES
I will take the win. smile.gif

I will hold my breath until Wednesday, the deadline for official scoring changes.

My bench almost outscored my starters again. I need to fire the management.

Week 5:

PES
The Lefties are pleased to face the River Rats this week with Peyton on a bye. biggrin.gif

I don't know why, but anyone who plays me seems to score high! I've got 460 or something points against me from 5 games... taking this into consideration, next week (after playing Hazza) it's gotta be somewhere around 600 wacko.gif .

Edit: It's actually 458.7...
Hazza
I've been lucky so far, but I'd rather win the last 5 games of the year than the first 5...
PES
I was happy to win with only 58 points this week after being clobbered by the cream of the league. BTW, my opponents have a healthy 448.9 against the Lefties.

Loved this nugget in my player updates today:

QUOTE
(Jamal) Lewis didn't feel the injury was serious and, after having his foot re-taped, looked like he wanted to return. "He wanted to come back in, and they tested him on the sidelines and jogged him up and down, but the medical people didn't feel like it was enough so they held him out," Crennel said.

I'm thinking the Browns' medical staff are Canadians mad.gif
PES
Having watched the Sox loose in extra innings, I have to get some sleep for tonight's football. My wife is none too pleased.
So the Rats are starting a Lemon against the Lefties?
eurovol
Damn they took away an A. Davis TD on me.
It is a battle of the DSTs over my way.
