Where to buy posters and art for wall decoration

Ok so its time to decorate the flat and seeing as i'm only here for another three months I think posters is the easiest and cheapest way to go.

Only problem is that I can't seem to see any shops that sell them.

Any suggestions people??

Ikea, of course. Good selection of posters and frames.

There is a great film-only poster and picture shop on Mullerstr. in the gay village if your tastes run in that direction (films, that is).

Sorry, i should have defined it as coolish posters (I'm a tax dodging student sort ) that i'm looking for. not the real arty stuff you get at Ikea.

Is it a shop where they sell posters from gay films (surely not??) or is that just where the location is??

think it's called pdm or similar
they have a branch at the olympia einkaufszentrum as well

the gay film posters are probably in back, 'normal' movies out front.

The video shop in the underground area of Karlsplatz sell posters. Big rack of them outside the door of the shop.

Also Allerlei on Kaufingerstr have a big selection of posters downstairs. Including the best poster in the world ever...

Go to your local video store and buy a few movie posters for cheap! You might even get them for nothing. I got a €0.99 poster of The Santa Clause for my son. We got a Mickey Mouse poster from Real that they used for a display. The sell was over and they were just throwing it away. It was free and my son loves it.

I was looking for that one actually keydeck, can get it on ebay for 7 yoyos, I'll be heading for some of these shops on monday so thanks peeps!

I remember seeing a big selection of posters in Hugendubel. Worth a try.

Good poster, keydeck, but if this one ever becomes a poster it will top the list. In life, there is Britney and then there is everything else

Hi there TT, I need some art and/or posters to spice up my walls. Are there any posters shops in Munich? I'm not looking for tracky movie posters that every college student has. Maybe some art prints or something.

ikea is probably the best (and most reasonablly priced)

Go to your local art musuem's gift shop , Die Pino comes to my mind. You will find the current exhibitions works as well as your "normal" sophisticant art. Granted a bit more spendy but you are at least supporting the musuem.

IKEA is far and thanks I will try the museum shops and the paintings list is a good idea too. I'll check it out. But if it's expensive I'll probably pass. I'm just a poor teaching assistant.

Do they have tacky black light posters at Nanu Nana as I would like to create a room as a throw back to my teen years, only this time without the marijuana smoking, funky incense, and bean bag chairs ?
