Well right now I need a break from painting, and as a side project I have been trying to cook more. I love Thai food and would like to learn how to prepare Thai dishes. I looked at the aisen post on TT but found only three recipes. Does anyone out there have any that you are willing to share? I have yet to procure a wok so any recipe that does not require one will be great but if not please post anyway..

i took a cooking class on an organic farm outside of chiang mai & they gave us a recipe book to take home. the ones that we used that day were fairly easy to prepare & turned out great. i'll post some this weekend- hope they'll be what you're looking for.

€7.50 at my asian grocery store - and thats in Schwabing.
If you want any particular thai recipe, or wanna talk about thai cooking and the general techniques and base flavourings, send me a PM - I could post some recipes here, but I have no idea what you like.

No idea of the name of the store atall. Its just up Herzogstr. on the right if you are coming from Munchener Freiheit. Very cheap place, walk in fridge for fresh goods, has pretty much everything I need. They are getting to know me now too, and I reckon would order absolutely anything that was asked for.

Shanghai Market it's called. I find their fresh herbs to be not-so-fresh. dry.gif Am getting a bit cheesed off with them, really. For fresh herbs go to Rosenheimerplatz, HongKong market or Hohenzollernplatz, Asia -something (directly on the square next to the ice-cream shop).

To be fair, I've seen bad days in their fridge too, and gone elsewhere. I still always go there first though, its near.
