German TV comedy shows

Ruth Drexl is FANTASTIC as the Bavarian Mama and she is also a VERY good serious actress.
If it is ever on again, I THOROUGHLY recommend "Späte gegend" at the Vlkstheater with her and Christine Neumaier!

She is head of the Volkstheater as well.

No longer, she gave it up a couple of years ago after coming back for a short while.

I think German TV in general is utter crap. The only thing I think is funny is Pocher's Top Trash 100, but even that is questionable. Herald Schmidt is witty, but I don't normally watch late night tv.

Funnilly enough though back in may when I posted up the schedule of a night on BBC1 and ARD1 one could NOT tell the difference...

That's a bit harsh chaps.

There ARE fantastic nature and travel programs. Fritz loves all that and so do I. Especially snakes and sharks and lions and stuff.

I like ARD and ZDF, in fact I'd like to be able to see them even if I move away from germany
