Jimbo's Big Piss-Up Weekend Opener - Friday 9.Jan

OK, Christmas and New Year are fading fast in my memory now, leaving me with a financial hangover and a tolerance to lager greater than the entire Welsh rugby team's.

So, I need to go out and get wrecked - forget going to trendy bars and clubs - they'll all be empty as the beautiful people will be skiing, or like me, broke. What we need is a tidy little bar, and a cheapo warehouse type of place that sells beer at 50c at a time.

So I'm most likely going to be going to 'Nachtgalerie' - God knows where it is, though I've been a few times. It's 10€ to get in, and your first Becks is 1.50€! But after that, as long as you take your bottle back, it's only 50c for a bottle of Becks. Brilliant!

So, I may be out and about earlier in the day for a few cheeky ones round and about (Don - fancy a few early in the day - should be out of work by 3pm latest), but I'll definitely be fed and ready to rock and in Bondi by somewhere between 8 and 9 pm - I'll post to confirm exact(ish) timings nearer the time.

Before any bugger moans, I will be leaving Bondi at a reasonable time to carry on, and I have specially selected Bondi as it's in roughly the right direction for the club.

And one last point - BRING YOUR I.D. with you. They have a policy of asking everybody, and no I.D., no entry. Don't forget.

One warning I will put out there to all concerned is that the Nachtgalerie is a club that tends to fill up with the younger members of Munich's party set...I should think 20 is about the average age, though that's not to say that older 'clubbers' will look out of place.

Otherwise the only warning that you need is that Toytown nights on a Friday, for me, start at 3pm and don't generally finish much before 3 or 4am depending on my liver...

I'm not in the nick, no...not yet anyway, but I am going out tonight, so here's the final plan...

First off I'm gonna eat and grab a few beers at Gunthers, with a view to arriving there between 6 and 6:30.
From there I'm gonna head over to Bondi, with the intention of getting there about 9. Once I'm all JD and Red Bull'd up I'm gonna grab a cab to the Nachtgalerie for some cheap drinks and dancing - that'll be between 11 & 12.
Anybody who wants to join me (us) is of course more than welcome - new faces are especially welcome - just look for the bloke with big ears and glasses looking drunk (that may not be the case at 6 o'clock, but it will be shortly thereafter).

Hopefully see a few of you guys and gals later - and don't forget BRING I.D!!!

Oh, and those that cant make tonight - I'll be in Gunthers for a bit of a session tomorrow from about 4 I should think.

Oh, just a word of warning to back up Jimbo's "BRING ID" thing.
Nachtgalerie require you to have ID on you to enter. This is because they had some trouble in the past with the police turning up to a fight and no one having IDs, so they got a bollocking from the police.
So now, to get in you need ID whether you look 16 or 61!

I'll probably come down to Murphy's to meet you (guys) before going to Bondi. Do we have to bring passports to Nachtgalerie or is a Bahn Card enough. Feel a little nervous carrying one around when I'm likely to get really drunk.

I always use my Aufenthaltserlaubnis - not sure what else they'll take.

They accept everything, even a Dutch driver license
