Munich Augustiner pubs - where would you recommend

Hi,

anyone know of a nice place, preferably city centre, for a quiet drink? Am looking for something alone the lines of brez'n (that place on leopoldstrasse).

1 condition is that it MUST sell augustiner.
Oh, and Im not interested in the big augustiner hall places, just want a smallish place. And I already know about neds/Kilians.

You know if you walk to Kilians from gap, round the church that way...theres a new place just opened there on your left...is that an augustiner place?

There is a really nice smart and quiet place just opposite the Höfbrauhaus next door to the Hard Rock Cafe, called Wirts something, but not sure if they do Augustiner beer ! Very Baverian though.

Yes it is. Also in that same little platz is the Andechs place.

Also have a gander at http://www.augustiner-braeu.de as they list a number of bars in the various areas of town.

you ask for a place for a QUIET drink, thats nice and central AND sells auggie?!?!

no one in their right minds would tell others about it if they had found such a place... for t'would no longer be quite so quiet... pure folly!!!
