It's a bit like Wagners music. Makes you want to jump into a tank and reunify TT and Britboard, sorry I mean makes you want to build dodgy Disney castle replicas.

Maybe we could get a little swastika put on the logo for today
Arm bands. That should be our first bit of TT merchandise.

Looks like the Forum Hall Putsch has collapsed.
All right then, I'll go first: "What can we do for Toytown?" (Except stop whinging, that is...)

I got this from a member of the moderation team, and thought it would make an amusing tagline.

I love today's tagline. It is definitely the best yet.

I´d leave out the "may" though!
Well, sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!
Yes, it is great. Even as a repeat performance.
I must admit that my understanding of today's tagline is rather poultry (terrible pun, sorry). Anyone care to explain?

follow the white rabbit.
every obscure meat tastes like chicken. just ask anyone what alligator, frog, snake or whatever tastes like they'll say a bit like chicken. so if you cant describe the taste, just say it tastes like chicken. or it could be another one of editor bob's private sex jokes again. who knows.

Well, I know what it means to the 'girls' from my hockey league!

Now
that is an exciting description of Toytown!

Today's tagline:

Does that mean we are not sweet enough?

Carm, it means that diabetics are welcome too!

You're missing a full stop at the end of that sentence there, Small Town Boy. Emoticons are no replacement for punctuation.

A pedant pedanticised indeed!

I've actually always wondered where the full stop should go -- whether before or after the emoticon. That's the kind of trivial nonsense that occupies my mind...
wahoo
Sep 12 2006, 8:55 am
Had to google this one. According to Webster's dictionary a pedant is a : one who makes a show of knowledge b : one who is unimaginative or who unduly emphasizes minutiae in the presentation or use of knowledge c : a formalist or precisionist in teaching

No one's commented yet on the first word; shouldn't it be 'Everyone's Welcome'?
I think they're both correct, the tagline version (=no verb) being more of a notice or an announcement where you want to keep things short and to the point, like "Smoking prohibited" or "Dogs not allowed", for example.
More in line with TT's all-embracing, warm and fuzzy proclamation

, one "welcoming" example that comes to mind (because of the Pope's visit?

) would be "Sunday service 10am - Everyone welcome!"
UrbanAngel
Sep 13 2006, 9:22 am
Exactly; you'd need that exclamation mark if you're not going to include the verb.

Merry? I've never known TT crowds to stop at merry, they usually tend to burn on through to the full-blown dancing on the tables stage.
