Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

I'm there for sure.. I'm already dressed for it and I'll be leaving in an hour or so so see everyone then..

Well I was totally p***ed off because I am stuck at work which means I can't make it. But now that it is pouring down rain, I feel like there is a justice somewhere.
Oh and sorry for all of you who made it out there! See you on Sunday.

Although I missed last Sunday for various reasons, I'm planning on being there this Sunday, and hope that my ankles will cooperate this time...

Yep, next game will be on Wednesday (20th June) at 6pm at the Giselastrasse location.

A couple of people asked me about the TT-Ultimate discs today. Well, I have to provide the company with a hi-res version of the logo and then it will take 7-10 days to get the discs. As soon as the wheels are in motion I'll send an email out with my bank details, so people can either transfer the money or else give it to me at one of the games. Watch this space.

Update on the TT Ultimate discs:
- The discs are going to cost EUR11,00 each.
- I'll send an e-mail/PM around to all those who have expressed interest with my bank details.
- The logo will be printed black on five different colours of frisbee. Colour will be first come, first serve.
- No idea how long the printing will take, will post again when I know.

To be completely open: I've received interest from 30 players, but I'll be ordering 50 discs to take advantage of the much-improved price available at that quantity. This means that:
- I'll have discs left over for anyone who decides they're interested
- Once the extra discs are sold there'll be some extra money which I propose goes towards more/better cones and some marking shirts/sashes to make it easier to tell the teams apart. Any cash that should be left over after that (I'm being optimistic here) will go towards a round of beers at the end of season party ...

Weather permitting (it usually does) we normally play until the light fades or until everyone is too tired to continue.

If the weather holds I guess we will play this evening until around 8.

Hello everyone,

I used to play Ultimate Frisbee when i was living in Ingolstadt back in 2003 and i'm glad that i found you guys.. There are just a few problems because as i work most of the afternoons i was wondering if you people also meet some other days rather than wednesday's and sunday's (my days off are normally thursday and friday).. I believe i have a couple of disks at home (if my girlfriend hasn't thrown them away yet) so i would be glad to meet up with anyone willing to throw some disc on thursdays or fridays or if there are any brave people any weekday during the morning time.

Morning Rui, Wednesdays and Fridays are the regular days and have been for a few years now. Whenever a bank holiday comes along there's a chance that an extra game will be organised, but otherwise you might be better trying to your days off shifted.

Alternatively if you post spontaneously re: the other days in the week (i.e. "anyone want to play tomorrow") you might find a couple of people who're interested in a throwabout if the weather is good.

There's a tournament in Marburg this weekend coming, and I still need one player for the Mother Tongue team. It's an unconventional tournament: 5 (exactly - no more, no less) players per team, 4 on the field. The fields are small, and the games are short, but given there's only one sub per team, and there's a lot of games, it's a tough tournament! Marburg are also the creators (or at least largest fan-base) of the Ultimate Drinking game: Stubbyguts where you can quickly loose your dignety and sobriety! A fun tournament for anybody willing to go the length!

I didn`t know fridays were also part of the menu.. I will come along next friday, is it 6pm as well? I used to play in ingolstadt like twice a week and the odd sunday but back then i had plenty of time on my hands, these days it`s complicated but i`ll be a regular on fridays at least.

I think Jay mis-typed, we don't play regularly on Fridays... Only Wednesdays at 18:00 and sundays at 16:00 plus the occasional Holiday, Sorry!

On a topic totally unrelated to frisbee, my audition for the music conservatory is next Wednesday, July 4th. I am thinking, after 8 months of practicing for this one day, I will need some kind of celebration...naturally I would like all my favorite frisbee players to be there. The audition is 10 hours and finishes around 7..so i'm not playing bee that day, but I will come meet up at the beer garden for starters. Anyone who wants to help me unload 8months of stress is welcome to join me...even if I don't get in. See you guys tomorrow! M

With this wind and rain, I don't think I'll be out there today playing frisbee. Too bad my knee is feeling better... I'll still be headed into the city though for some dinner and beer or two.

Not sure yet. I'm on the fence. My neck still hurts from moshing in the Milchbar on Monday. And definitely not in the rain.

I've been drinking green tea all day and I'm still cold...I'll wait until Jay confirms it but suggest we just plan on Sunday...

It's sunny in the north of Munich too at the moment. I will pass by around 6.30 and check whether anyone is playing.

I'm being dragged to see "Die Harder Again and Again for the Eighth Time" against my every will. Although it's probably good for my oncoming cold not to play in the wind and rain.

The Wednesday/Sunday games are never really 'cancelled' ... as long as it's not raining you can be fairly sure that enough people will turn up for a game. I'm just not sure whether I'll make it.
