Hey everyone, this is Sara--I was there on Wednesday (although I am totally new to
frisbee). Just thought I'd scope out the forum and was wondering who everyone was...

I hope to be there Sunday. I'm new to both Munich and TT, but have a little ultimate under my belt. Hopefully I'm not too out of shape, though!

Little bit windy but should be fun - no chance of rain on the forecast either! Ume - if you can make sure you get there at 4 on the dot we can go through the rules and have a good practise beforehand.
Yup. I plan to reach before time...

Tenley, I'll be playing this Sunday, next Wednesday and next Sunday. Then I'm off. You missed an ace game, many beers at CT which continued at
Schwabinger 7... splendid evening.

Args... hopefully I can make this Sun or next Wed to say "Ho!!" to Ben. I'm in the throes of moving and getting a car at the same time. Then, 2 days after moving, business trip ;-)
You can bet it's only athletics suffering, and not bier drinking...

Hello everyone,
My name is Vlad, and I'll be studying in Munich for the semester as part of an exchange program from the USA. I've been playing Ultimate on my college team, and I'm thrilled to have found pick up in Munich.
I take it that the game will start at 4pm tomorrow, Sunday 10.9.06. At which location will you all play?
Looking forward to it!

OK, so... this Sunday we'll be playing at 4pm at the Deitlindenstrasse/Hirshau location. Map and directions in the first post on this thread. Bear in mind that his popishness will be causing a bit of MVV-mayhem but we should still get a reasonable number of people playing

hey guys! (Still reading the posts, despite my departure..)
Frisbee's at
giselastrasse on the U6/3, and from there head due east. If you happen to want to get to the
chinese tower, then you can also get off at giselastrasse and take the bus which departs from there on the 6s and the 8s.
Universitaet will put you at the very far
Greetings from across the atlantic. Enjoy the wiesn guys

Yeup - for the
Dietlindenstrasse games you get off the U3/6 at Dietlindenstrasse and follow the map down into the garden, past the beer garden and we play near the kiosk.

Hopefully the roads and
U-bahn won't be too fouled up. I was expecting mass chaos downtown yesterday, but I rode my bike all the way up to the Alte
Rathaus at 4:30 (half hour before the popely arrival). Walked around for a while, then braved the throngs to be able to say "yeah, I felt the popeliness wash over me in person back in '06." Hehe.
Plan to see y'all at 4!

I'm not sure how you missed twenty people and six discs whizzing through the air - I can only guess you were at the wrong place. Next time you fancy a go drop me a PM and I'll give you my mobile number.
Everyone else - great game, and I look forward to my last ever weekday game on this coming Wednesday at 6pm playing at the Giselastrasse location.

Hi all, I am new to Toytown, is there going to be any
frisbee throwing this sunday (17th) as I would be interested in watching you guys at it, not sure how id be at participating..
There is definitely going to be a game this Sunday, at the
Dietlindenstrasse location (just to the east of the
Hirschau beer garden). Beginners are always welcome. If you show up at 4pm, someone will be there to toss the disc around with you and teach you the basics, if you are so inclined.

Great game last night folks - thanks for that. Roll on
Sunday, playing at
4pm at the
Dietlindenstrasse location. It may be my last ever TTUF outing but I'll try not to cry.
And sky hoc... Very, very easy. Walk along Tal to
Marienplatz, get on the
U6 North, get off at
Dietlindenstrasse, follow the directions in the map on the first post of this thread.

I'll finally be there again on Sunday, it's been too long!
Also: In case anyone here is interested in Disc Golf, I was thinking about organising something in the Engl. Gardens one day next week (but not Wednesday, of course). Drivinwest has leant me his portable basket, so we're fully equipped to turn the EG into one big golf course.
Check it out here.

Ben, thanks for starting up the ultimate meet-ups and organising things for these last two years. I've met most of my best friends in Munich through playing
frisbee. Writing you the PM to find out when the next game would be back in April of 2004 was one of the smartest things I did since coming to Munich. Good luck in Edinburgh mate, you'll be missed by many, me included.
...
But the ultimate will continue! We'll be meeting on
Wednesday at 1800 at the Giselastrasse location. There's also a
disc golf (golf with frisbees) meetup planned for Thursday evening this week,
more about that here.As ever, we adhere to a strict everyone-is-welcome policy

Bwoah, despite the consistently good turnouts, you
frisbee lot are too lazy to post to the thread anymore ...
I'm not sure if I'll make it for 6pm tonight, but the game will go on.
Since it's Oktoberfest and a few of the regulars have probably already drunk themselves into comas...
who plans to play tonight?
mrbrain
Sep 20 2006, 11:10 am
I've only played once in the past month and a half. I would like to come tonight but Oktoberfest beckons yet again. I'll definitely aim for Sunday, though. Have a good run tonight!

I'm going to play, and I'm pretty sure that Arthur will be there, too. Who else took Cam's blood oath? I'll bet he's going to show today. One can't just publicly swear on a stack of frisbees like that and then blow it off.

Well although I said on Sunday I would, I will not be able to make it tonight. The Wiesn has been calling for 5 days straight now and I just can't resist any longer so I will be venturing that way tonight.
mrbrain, which tent are you going to?
