Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

The frisbee's have arrived!
I'll send a PM around to everyone who ordered a disc in a minute.
And on Sunday I get to play santa claus

For anyone who will be coming through the park as opposed to the U-Bahn...

From where we usually play, head to the Seehaus (restaurant by the little lake), behind it you will find a pedestrian bridge that takes you over the ring.
Once on the other side, turn right, and in about 100 m you will find the Hirshau Biergarten / Tennis Club.
Go through/beside it and you come to a road. Just off to the right there is a path on the other side of the road. There is a small kiosk (currently under renovation I think) near the corner of the road and the path . Follow the path away from the road, and we usually play on the big space on the left of the path.

D is fine for me (to get in nice and late). I like the idea of meeting up early and wal;king across though. Lots of people are not signed up or don't read the lit and we want to make sure they all amke it over.

I happened past the Dietlindenstrasse location this morning as part of my hangover-recovery-walk and the playing field looked good, but it's certainly somewhere you need to know how to find - the easiest point of reference is the Hirschau biergarten.

Anyway, we'll head out there together tomorrow starting at U-Dietlindenstrasse.

I'm there on Sunday. Since i'm also directionally challenged, i'll meet you at the UBahn JH.-M

Don't forget us as the other baby carrying frisbee players. thejarvii = Kevin & Jenny. We played a bunch way way back when ultimate first started (and we had no baby) and are just now getting back into it. We plan to be out there today if lil' Zach agrees with us.

btw, rebecca and tyler are back in the US until July, but I'm sure will be back playing once they return.

Also, it might be about time to plan another Saturday trip to the frisbee golf venue in Weilheim!

My thoughts exactly - I tried to gauge this interest this week on the disc golf thread.
For me Saturday would be the best day for this, so as not to clash with ultimate.

Great game today! We definitely had a lot of fun and it was great to get back out playing again.

We were only upset we had to pass on the beer garden and head home. We love Hirschau and the non-Oompah music (usually Jazz). Next time we will be sure to leave the late afternoon free for the beer garden!

Yeah, it was great fun yesterday. Splitting into three teams worked well as well, I thought.

Fairly gloomy weather forecast for this evening, so we might as well play at Giselastrasse at 6pm, since it's easier for people to find.

I just checked a few weather forecasts and the consensus is sun (well - no rain at least) so should still be ok hopefully.

Will be quiet too most likely so easy to get a good field.

I'm game for sure unless it rains (may also bring a colleague along)

6 to 8 or so, depends on weather and motivation. Then beer.

I'll be there with the Swede in anything but serious rain, and I'll bring the discs with me for one51 and showtime, although I'm beginning to wonder if the latter has disappeared forever.

Weather's looking good, and I'm back from the UK with beer for one51 and weetabix for jayhay. I'll be there at 6 if work doesn't get in the way... and SOB, we normally play until about 7:30-8:00ish.

Ultimate on Sunday at 2pm and we'll be using the Dietlindenstrasse venue, in fact we'll probably be going there for all the Sunday games this year.

The weather was excellent down South today, even with a rotten forecast. Modulo any terrible storms I'll be on a U6 train that will get down to Dietlindenstrasse at 13:40 - happy to meet up with anyone who wants to walk down then and show them the way!

SOB: You've got my mobile number, give me a call if you get lost and I promise I will try to keep the thing within earshot for a while!

Although it was damp through the night, I think from the radar that things are getting better. The map below will update itself, and hopefully the big blue blob sitting over Munich will move out by the time we want to play, leaving a very pleasant sunny afternoon...

Yeup. Rain shows no sign of stopping and I've just missed my bus. Lets hope for better weather Wednesday.

...and just as I typed that the rain stopped. I can drive in if enough people want to play, but I wonder how many we'll actually get turning up?
