The weather is looking nice... not sure if I should bail from German class or not. There is also the Arsenal / Villarreal game at GMs for after frisbee drinks! Kick-off at 8:45.

Mrbrain you need to start using that brain. When the weather is this nice it is biergarten time. Especially when we play between two of them.

bob, if you're still really worried be outside Fieldmann's opticians, at the North end exit of the Giselastrasse U6 station, at 17:54. That's when my U Bahn arrives. Look for a very tall bloke with a red bag with a frisbee stuck to it. I'll be walking directly to the place where we play.

NB: I'm about to set off, so won't be checking TT again before hand. If you need me to show you the way then just turn up there.

Last chance for anyone who wants to order a frisbee (ultimate or disc golf). We're at an order of 13 discs now and the shop's already confirmed that they'll be able to give us a special price. Let me know by Friday at the latest if you're interested, I'll place the order on Saturday morning.

For Sunday, how do people feel about a little BYOB (Bring your own Brotzeit) ?

There's a bakery near me that's open Sunday mornings, so I will try to pick up some pretzels and Obatza.

Just so there's no confusion we'll be playing on Sunday at the Giselastrasse location at 2pm but in order to pick up the touch rugby pitches we will need to be there at 1:50pm, cones and players at the ready.

As for the BYOB Brotzeit, you are talking about heading for Beergarten + Brotzeit after finish with ultimate, right ? I´m not sure yet if I will be up for the apres-part this time.

it rained some last night.. now it seems to be clear again. wetter.com says cloudy for the afternoon, so that looks promising.

Weather looks a bit grotty for tomorrow. I'm going to be watching a film, but if anyone is interested in a game post here and organise it! I might be along for the toss around beforehand, but no promises.

Hi everyone! I am new to Toytown Munich and I wanted to know about ultimate frisbee. Im a girl. Do you ususally have girls play or normally only boys? I was in an ulitmate frisbee club in Dallas, Texas when I lived in the States. I am intrested in getting involved again! Please let me know, it sounds like fun.

Hi Susan, last year we were probably about 30% female, this year less as lots of our members have moved back home. It would be great if we could get back to being fully mixed! We are very happy to have anyone come and play just as long as they don't take it too seriously... there are several top level teams in Munich and our aim is provide a relaxed alternative. We play informal pickup games where anyone can just rock up and play, even if they've never tried before. We play for a couple of hours, only counting the last 5-10 points, and then head off to a beer garden.

If it stays dry I'll be there. its a bit of a trek for me so if it looks like tipping it down around 5-ish then i will probably slink home and stay dry!

Won't be making it down today as I gotta start packing for my upcoming move this weekend. That and the weather appears to be slightly less than stellar today.

I will also be attending the film tonight and will come and toss the disc around for a bit, but I will leave when Ben does.

I'll not be about this evening I'm afraid. :-(

@Jay - where you getting the % rain forecasts from?

I have a weather.com plugin on my taskbar which updates itself hourly with the 7-day forecast for Munich.
It's quite handy, although likely less reliable than wetteronline.de or theyr.de.

Considering that today they are 99% wrong.

I still thnk we're heading for a big storm, but looking out now, I guess we're Ok for a bit. Hope I'm not speaking too soon!

It was quite a small croud out at Giselastrasse today.. just myself, bob_the_scutter and Andy. The weather held off luckily.. ahh, well hopefully higher turnout next time. My next possible frisbee day is next wednesday-- hope to make it!

Sorry I didn't make it. Our ongoing apartment renovation took an amusing turn when our washing machine starting losing bucketfulls of water and I spent two hours on the kitchen floor with my arm jammed under the dishwasher, trying to sort out the drainage pipe

The weather is looking unpredictable for Sunday, but I'm sure a number of us will be playing in anything other than torrential downpour conditions. We'll be at Giselastrasse at 1:50pm. Why the odd time? Well the German footy sides all meet at 2pm, and if we can have a pitch staked out by then we get whatever sized pitch we want with no hassles... but the only way we can do this is if people are there chucking a disc around before they arrive!

Unfortunately the weather's looking a bit ropey no matter which site I look at.
Still, that's three days away ... we only need a couple of butterflies to beat their wings and that all might change.
