Hey everyone, had a great time out on Saturday! one51, thanks for putting up the pics. I would love to come along this weekend, but we're off on holidays for a while. Have fun, it's a great course and a great setting!

Hey all, I'm hoping to see some good weather for a last toss on Sunday. I'm heading back across the pond in less than a week (hopefully not for forever!) but want to promote an "Augustiner appreciation night" this Friday at the Euro Youth Hostel bar on Senefelderstr. (SW corner of Hauptbhf, then cross Bayerstr). Happy hour is 6-9pm and I'll be there sometime before 9. If not then, see ya Sunday!

How about playing disc golf on Saturday instead, like we did last weekend? Checked the forecast and it should be sunny all weekend (don't think I've ever experienced a better weather October in my life! )

I just PMed jayhay WRT me +1 on Sunday; I think we can reasonably get back by 4. I'm probably going to have to count me +1 out if it is on Saturday though - too much to do.

If you guys do go on Sat I can still loan you my discs (no playing disc golf with Aerobies or UF discs!).

I can't do Saturday either unfortunately ... but if the consensus is ultimate on Sunday, then ultimate it will be.
Meanwhile I've PM'ed Andrew to see if I can't get him to ride on the disc-golf-bus ...

I am a definite plus one. Unless it is Ultimate than it will be just me!

I'm down for either day, and being back by 4 should be possible by either just playing one round (including a lunch), or just meeting about 9 AM here in Munich to head out.

How we looking on the transport situation? Any other drivers besides me?

As far as I know, Thomas is coming along as well.
He will be be driving (+3), but he lives in Großhadern, so if needs be people would have to meet him at the u-bahn there.

That would actually be easier for me as I can get U6 all the way... I may have a +1 aswell.

For me too - I'm on the u6 as well. I'll eMail him to make sure and let you know.
Otherwise we could travel on the Bayernticket and ask Erik (or whoever drives)
to pick us up from the DB-station (2-3km from the disc golf course)

By the DB Weilheim is only 38 minutes from Hbf. That is comparable to the drive.

I am actually up for this. If I cannot play the annoying version with white balls then I am very interested in the disk version

The course is in Weilhem, about a 40 minute drive from Munich city. Andechs could be a possibility on the way back (isn't completely out of the way). But the biergarten there is really quite nice, and most of all, convenient for where we play

Yep, your two spots are from Lehel, my 4 from Stiglmaierplatz, Thomas' 3 from Großhadern.

Times: I will encourage Ibskiboy to come along with us to disc-golf, since it's a fabulous day out and very fitting for him to finish his Munich/frisbee season. This also removes the time pressure on getting back to Munich. Let's set off at 10am and meet in the beer garden at Weilheim around 11:00.

Location: The course is in Weilheim, 45 minutes from Munich. If we don't have enough car spaces, the train from HBf takes 38 min to Weilheim and runs hourly (9:32-10:10 and 10:32-11:10). The Bayernticket for 5 people costs EUR24,-. Once we're in Weilheim it's about a 2km walk I think.

Discs: I will organise a putter and driver each for everyone who hasn't got one. This is free, but people will have to replace (or spend hours looking for) any discs they lose. Or eat. They cost about EUR10,- each.

I've got a driver but no putter. Jay - if you go and see "the guy" in the meantime it'd be great if you can buy me a bog standard putter - I'll give you some dough on the day.

10 euros ish - whatever is good for that cost. I plan to buy two sets in all so that when I get back to the UK I can play with my other half - so it doesn't matter if this one isn't exactly what I want. Cheers!

It's about a 2km walk. The disc-golf course is located on the "Gögerl"
hill in Weilheim. Most people should be able to give directions once you're
there, but watch out, they talk funny.

Oh-hey ... just found it! The street is 'Am Goergel'. I went to http://www.hot-maps.de and just started looking for green areas around the town and found it. Hmmm. Alright ... we may get down there after all.
