Ok, so many have expressed interest, and here's a poll to see when the most can come. Please mention by message if you can do several dates

And what are the details again:

# of jumps in price
# of hours training
stilettos at dawn
can do anytime in June (weekends).

Only problem is 1st WE in July.

Do we have a definite price yet?

I would really like to do this, but I am in England and Stockholm until middle June, so PLEASE do this after 22nd June, then I can also join you for this !

Is the jump tandem, freefall or static?

I have only ever done tandem...
JoolyBooly
tandem, from a plane
JoolyBooly
OK so tandem is normally € 195 at weekends, but I think we'd get a group rate. There woudn't be much training for that, you just turn up and get chucked out of a plane biggrin.gif

there is also the option (for €395) of doing a Schnupperwochenende with 2 days' training towards the AFF certificate

Colibri skydiving school, Ampfing

Sorry, forgot about this for a bit. How about the 19th June, as we are go-karting on the 18th so presumably in Munich that weekend?

Hi all... I've jumped at 2 places since coming here.

EXIT is a little far to the east and they only have a Cessna most times. Very cool people though.

Colibri (Ampfing) is closer, the Porter climbs way faster than a Cessna, and they are a much bigger operation.

Let me know when people are going for tandems! I'll try to make it that weekend and do a couple jumps. I guess it's nice that mine are only 25€, however I did all that expensive training already and bought a metrick f*c&load of expensive gear. (a metric f*c&load is 2 arse-tons, in British units).

Did this ever happen?
I just did my AFF in florida and I'm really keen to do some more jumping, anyone interested in going this weekend if the weather is like it is today?

@Bob K, did you get your license? If so, I would recommend Ampfing (fsc-colibri.de I think) or Eggenfelden (don't know the url, but it's called Exit GMBH). Ampfing had a Porter but no pilot last weekend, so we went to Eggenfelden where they had a Beech. That was nice. Two excellent sitfly dives with a couple docks, and a tracking jump.

IF you have a US license, you need to get a temporary insurance for 30 euro. Then within 3 months you need to take the air rules test to get a German license (some other stuff needed too but no freefall). If you need to do that, let me know as I have a personally translated (by me & a German guy) copy of the study guide questions!!
Bob_K
I graduated AFF but haven't done enough jumps to get my USPA A licence. You have to have done 25... so I'm still working on it. (got only 9 so far)

I would love to have the translation of the questions... Is the test in English or do I have to take it in german... that could be a problem. I'm getting there but I only learnt this morning that a parachute translates to a "fall umbrella". wink.gif

I think if the weather is good I'll head over to colibri (I've had a couple of reccomendations for that one now) and see if I can do a couple of jumps. Are you guys going too?... how perfect is the weather right now???!!! cool.gif

Hi Bob,

I am just a fun jumper, and don't go in a group--just by myself. I think this thread was started about people wanting to do one tandem jump, and it petered out.

My suggestion is to call Colibri first. Isabel runs manifest, and Steffen is in charge. He could tell you if you can jump here, sadly I doubt it since you don't have a license... you may have to "start over" with the German training system. Besides, Colibri is only open one more weekend before winter break. Probably the next time I'll jump is in Eloy at New Year's...

For the test: the study guide is a list of around 60 questions, you get asked 25 out of them (I think) on the real test. Someone German could probably "translate" for you while taking the test.

PM me your email address and I'll send you the Word doc with the questions/answers.
