Hi there,

Has anyone ever been to a music concert at Cirkus Krone? If so, what's it like? Apparently Sigur Rós are playing there on July 22nd (linked official websites says so, but the Cirkus Krone site doesn't mention anything! blink.gif ), and I wanted to gather some info before deciding to buy tickets for my gf and I.

I have seen these guys a few times already, and so if the venue is only half decent (like the sound not being that great, not such comfortable seating, etc), then I can pass this time.

Thanks in advance for any info, and happy friday!

I saw Laurie Anderson there in concert a few years ago. As a venue for concerts, it's not bad.

Smallish venue, but not that small. Smaller than Olympichalle or George Elsner Halle, but not as small as most of the places at KPO. Seem to recall being okay when I went to see The Verve there, but it's a while ago now.

As it's built for the circus, most seats will have a good view to the stage.

Great little venue. Last time sigur ros played in Munich it was the Herkulessaal at the Residenz. I was lucky to be in row 10 or something and i still had a bad enough view. The circus place WILL be better in that respect. Circus Krone is banked so all positions give a good view to the stage.
As for acoustics i found nothing wrong with the last time i went there for the "Irish Folk Festival". If anything it was actually pretty good. Good enough to be looking forward to seeing Sigur Ros live again at any rate!!!
