Star Wars III evening showing

There's a showing on both days at about 7/7.30 ish and one on each day at around 10ish.
I'd prefer the 7ish showing, then we have the possibility of going for a swift half or two afterwards to dissect the action, etc.

I'm definately in . I'd prefer the tuesday, plus tuesdays (and mondays) is only 5€ leaving a spare 2€ on the wednesday price, more money for beer!

Wednesday does have the advantage of a Thursday holiday following if folks wanted a drink afterwards. (Sad old bastard, I can't be kept out late anymore on school nights.)

OK so taking time off is not looking so good at the moment what with all the holidays we get anyway!
So I would certainly go for 7-ish. And for me preferably the Tuesday. How could I miss curry on Wednesday?

Wednesday would be really bad for me as Liverpool at playing in the Champions League final, but might be interested for Tuesday.

I just looked at the website and all of the ca. 19:30 showings are advance ticket sales only. I'm not sure what this means other than that I probably ought to get back to work.

Not 100% sure, but I think it means you can't reserve over the internet, but actually have to go to the Cinema and buy your tickets there and then.

Would like to come but I can't make the Tuesday 24th - I could however make any of the other days that week.

So if the date changes from Tuesday then I can come otherwise have a good time!

KM I think the idea is to meet up afterhand for a drink or two. That doesn't preclude anyone from having a drink or two beforehand of course, but I generally try to avoid that if I'm going to the cinema...

I was thinking more of somewhere for everyone to meet and get together, especially if the weather isn't too great.

Not up, personally, for meeting beforehand, being as it is a workday and all that.
I'd be up for a tipple or two afterwards though.

Oh well, was only an idea! Never been cinema here yet, so you get a seat allocation or simply wait and spot everyone to arrive outside?

When you buy the tickets (at the cinema kiosk) they say where you can have a s seat(s) and then they print the tickets which have the seat allocation on them.

you can't reserve the seat allocation over the net, only the amount of tix you want.

Usually at tt cinema events someone buys the tickets in advance and then everyone meets outside the cinema.

Thanks for the clarification, that's why I mentioned meeting somewhere before hand (doesn't have to be alcoholic drinks!) since I would assume that it be pretty busy outside the cinema, and incase it was wet etc.

Strangely enough I was watching Ep IV at the weekend (prompted by a comment by Andrew at Curry Night) and that was the first time I connected Chewy with, er, Chewy

The italian opposite the cinema does good ice cream, so i'll probably be there b4 hand! I know they have tables outside but i've not ventured inside. I guess they'd do drinks so we could possibly meet up there.

Yeah, that'd be me. I'll sort out the names at some point (today? tomorrow? next week?) and pick up tickets. I have no idea how many tickets are remaining for this showing and will be too lazy to call and ask until the end of the day or possibly tomorrow. If somebody feels like giving them a ring to decide if this is a futile venture or if we need to get tickets sorted out soon, feel free.

And now, back to work.

I just called the Cinema and they did say that tickets were available. I asked about whether or not they were still available together for between 5 and 10 people and was told that they were, but she seemed a bit evasive on this point. Because I'm paranoid, I'm tempted to pick up a block of tickets in the next day or so, presuming that I can do so this far in advance. I'll be there on Friday, so let's call Friday 5:00 P.M. the cut off. Please respond in this thread or via PM to confirm that you are willing and able to go or at least pay me for the ticket I will purchase for you. You had posted and I would presume that this could have been construed as an intent to join us, but (I've hung out with lots of attorneys) it was not an affirmative, constructive statement of intent. I actually bought 4 tickets for this showing the other day by chance. There seemed to be enough tickets still available and it's only a fiver because it's one of those cheapo days. I only live around the corner so would have no probs picking up the tickets but wouldn't be too keen on having a pocket full of fivers! I could get them Monday.

Tickets have been purchased. I now have 12 tickets, row 13 seats 5 through 16. If you said you were going, you now owe me 5 yoyos.

Saw Kingdom of Heaven tonight. Enh. In about two years I will have forgotten that I ever saw it. I think Orlando Bloom is in it.
