Which American Cities Best Fit You?

American Cities That Best Fit You:
65% Atlanta
65% Miami
60% Austin
55% Washington, DC
45% Boston

EDIT: Fixed the URL
Jeeves
Best fit for me is Denver, which is odd since I wasn't much taken with the place. It was only a 60% fit though.

Most of the questions provide only two choices of answer. More are needed.
3 Lions
60% New York City
60% San Francisco
60% Seattle
55% Denver
55% Las Vegas

Extremely odd for me, I hate big cities, so dont get the NYC? dry.gif
Topsy
New York (70%) or Chicago (65%) for me.
Never been to Chicago, but I do love NYC.
interplanetjanet
You got San Francisco? I check the answers that would best describe San Francisco, and it didn't even make the list. It gave me Honolulu as my first pick (yuck!) and then Chicago. WTF? I specified nice weather!
Winegirl
70% Chicago
65% Philadelphia
60% New York City
60% San Francisco
55% Denver

Not to surprising since I'm from Illinois.

I'm confused. I said I wanted the Northeast. Not a single Northeast city is in there (Philly doesn't count).
Jeeves
IPJ I expected it to throw up SF for me by quite a margin too. It didn't make the top 5.
kitkat64
Me too. I said Skiing and 4 seasons are crucial - it gives me Austin as my first choice!

Is there an Austin in Vermont?
Crawlie
75% Austin
65% Denver

Totally random... Although Honolulu... Nice!

Might have been nice...before it turned into a tourist trap. It is quite enjoyable, though, to watch the hookers chase the Japanese tourists around.
Crawlie
Hee hee!! Hookers chasing Japanese tourists.. Now I definitely have to go!

Denver sounds good though. May change my last name to Carrington or something and get a blue hair rinse...

Have heard that San Diego and Portland are very nice though.

70% Philadelphia Huh ? Can you ski near here ???

70% San Francisco Been there - love it.

65% New York City Was there as a kid but don't really remember it. I could see this though.

60% Chicago Possibly to much rain - trying to escape Irish rain.

60% Honolulu Er...ok - dunno anything bout it. I know you can surf but is there skiing ?

Seems a rather odd collection - I specified West coast so thought Seattle would come up.
jml
Hey that thing is genius!

60% Austin
55% Honolulu
50% Denver
50% San Diego
50% Seattle
Elfenstar
65% Chicago -- yeah, the wind. born there, no need to go back.
65% Philadelphia -- BB isn't so keen, then why should I be? smile.gif
60% Honolulu -- great for mild weather, surfing, gets boring after awhile.
55% New York City -- mm, alright
55% San Francisco -- yeah liked it there.

I said I wanted to live in the south and have sunny and mild weather.

American Cities That Best Fit You:
70% Austin
65% Atlanta
55% Denver
55% Honolulu
55% Las Vegas

Could explain why I live there. Hmmm.
mightypies
This is sponsored by the city of Austin, isn't it?
RPW
That would explain why Austin comes up on practically every result. I mean, it is a great town and all, but can't imagine it coming up consistently, unless the cleanliness factor plays a large role in computation...
mightypies
Ahhh Austin, the city by the bay, at the foot of the Rockies, with no crime/high crime - depending what you want, and more bars, restaurants, theaters and museums than you can possibly fit into a well polluted city.
Alys
As for me:

65% Honolulu
55% New York City
55% Philadelphia
55% Seattle
50% Austin

Don't know about this one - don't fancy ANY U.S. city really!

@interplanetjanet - seems like we have a match! I don't know much about USA but isn't Honolulu near the sea, which was one thing I specified as not important???
jml
Austin Rocks. Man I miss that town. Agreed with DW.

Best.City.Ever.

@RP-3CPO: I'll take a mixed plate from the county line or if thats too far from your law firm, the party platter of fajitas from pappasitos. Oh and a gallon of Amy's white chocolate and strawberries. wink.gif
Sin
If I really, really had to live in the USA again, it would have to be St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Does that count?
interplanetjanet
No.
jml
@IPJ laugh.gif
virgil
70% San Francisco
65% Philadelphia
60% Honolulu
60% Los Angeles
60% New York City

Scaled to include my personal view weighting factor:

0% San Francisco
0% Philadelphia
0% Honolulu
0% Los Angeles
0% New York City

Even the people who make $300,000 want to leave!
interplanetjanet
Thanks for sharing! I was wondering just how ignorant your personal view might be (not).
virgil
My opinion is well informed, apart from Honolulu I have been to all aforementioned cities.
Sin
QUOTE (interplanetjanet @ May 6 2005, 4:25 pm)
No.

Then I'm never going back to live there again. Easy. Very glad to leave.

@jml

You are bad news. For some reason, when Austin comes up on this site, you bring up some of the city's best culinary offerings. And of course, being the gentleman I am, I honor your request and go eat exactly what you tell me to. Can't... give...in, can't ... listen ... to ...jml...must...stay...healthy...

interplanetjanet
@virgil

And I've been to lots of cities all over the world. Visiting a city tells you nothing about the quality of life.
interplanetjanet
I've gotta get to Austin.
Chicago
oh, I think on a quick visit you can get a pretty good idea of the quality of life in say:
- Gary, IN
- East St. Louis, IL
- Detroit
- Baltimore
- Baton Rouge
- Oakland
- Rochester
- Buffalo

if you feel like you should lock the doors of the car: it is probably a low quality of life...
