Next four days, when you get up in the morning, depending on the weather and depending on what you feel like doing, organize an event and post it on TT. People will come automatically. Additionally, check TT calender. There is always something going on.

Well at the cost of sounding selfpromoting, I have to say Regensburg is about one of the most wonderful cities in Bavaria let alone Germany. It is about a hour and half by train or 45 min. by car. Do not get me wrong I LOVE Munich but Regensburg has its own qualities. It is known as the "Northern most city of Italy". A beautiful stonebridge on the Danube, wonderful cafes, and even more wonderful people. Plus since the best part of the city is in the aldtstadt area imost of it is blocked off to car traffic. So this is a great bicycle city. If you take the train finding someone to share the Bayern ticket is usually pretty easy. In fact I have never rode the train alone thanks to the Bayern ticket. Met many nice Germans this way. Well good luck in any of your travels...

thanks for the tips. yeah, Regensburg is beautiful, so is Nuernburg, Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, Wuerzburg, Lindau, Fuessen (Neuschwanstein), Augsburg tongue.gif can't help it. got a summer ticket - 30 Euro for the whole of Bavaria for 6 whole weeks tongue.gif but it also mean i'm running out of places for day-trips mad.gif well, for anyone thinking of day trips, i'd recommend salzburg, innsbruck or vienna for the long weekend.

sorry for being picky - but that doesn't really make sense. Switch Germany and Bavaria and you might be onto something. I agree regensburg is very nice. Munich also seems to be called the northernmost Talian city sometimes too. Bit like the 'Athens of the North' tag that various cities seem to lay claim to.
