Alternative curry night

Do what you like... I am un-likely to be there, The Curry night seems to turn to a farce each week.

@Grinner, well the original curry night was at Sitar, then this got started as the alternative curry night (later changed to just curry night). Therefore a yet other curry night would be the alternative alternative curry night.

Farce eh? I don't remember many of those. I don't know, I turn my back for 5 minutes (okay, 5 weeks) and what do you lot get up to? Honestly. I despair

Or perhaps I don't really need to know what has been going on.
I just want curry. Tomorrow.

Maybe we need to cater for all occasions and try and prevent exposure to such "farces" but organising "Alternative" Events to everything organised on Toytown.

I will start by organising and "Alternative" TT Tuesday. I will have it on a Thursday and call it TT Tuesday +2... Just to stop any possible farces that may occur on the official one...

Better still. How about an alternative Toytown Munich? Just to offer an alternative to people that want to avoid possible farces of course...

There are other curry nights, but as soon as its mentioned, someone removes them

I really hate it when there are more than 10 curry nighters, so I prefer to go somewhere that I can hear the others and service is as it should be..

By the use of the word "Farce", I mean It either gets too buisy the service is stretched, the food is not as good as it could be, or someone get clobbered for extra beers. Let alone the fact that its like a school canteen with the noise thats produced..

I prefer a slightly quieter evening, just like the Original curry night. ..

Hope it works Grinner. Problem is that if it gets too popular (i.e. excess of 10) then it will get too busy again, or will you limit attendance?

I guess the regular curry night is suffering because of its popularity. I personally don't have a problem with it; the only slightly negative thing for me is that it's hard to meet everybody.

I agree with the Meister on this. It's hard to meet everybody when you have three or four tables.

Alternative, schmalternative. If you fancy a quieter night out then why not just invite a few friends out for a curry. One of your main arguments is that too many people show up. Well advertising it on an open forum is likely to have that effect. Advertising it but asking people to PM for details could have exactly the same result. If more than the desired number PM you, will you just ignore them or tell them that they can't go. Either that or people will read the post and think, secret curry night me bollocks as was my original reaction. Almost every time I come back to Munich we go for a curry on one of the nights. Sometimes it's just myself & Badger and sometimes there are a few more people. Toytown is a fantastic resource for meeting new people and organising events, but ones entire social life doesn't have to be run through it.
