German politicians

Who do you like best/dislike most?

We Ausländer aren't allowed to vote, yet we pick up everything on German politics on a daily base just like the Germans. If you were to pick your two favourite German politicians, who would they be? And the two you dislike most?

My favourites: Renate Künast and Christian Ströbele
The ones I dislike most: Roland Koch and Angela Merkel (although it's a hard choice between Roland Koch and Guido Westerwelle, but as I said only two)

Just curious,

2 is not fair! biggrin.gif

It was a hard choice but in the end on the HATE list it has go to be

Schwesterwelle: The smarmy fucking creep who gets more of a stiffy from shafting the poor than his "Top Manager" in horse racing boyfriend.

Koch: Who is largely responsible for stoking up racism amongst the middle classes by basing his election campain for the State of Hessen purely on the issue that non-Germans should NOT have it easier to become citizens.

On the "I'd maybe give ya a hug if I was off my face like" list are:

Renate Schmidt, Federal Minister for Families and former SPD candidate in Bayern who once said of Bavarian Prime Minister Stoiber: "He is so vain he thinks the cock gets up to crow for him every morning!" cool.gif

Claudia Roth: A Green from Bavaria, never afraid to stand up for minorities even when it is NOT trendy to do so.

And that's a representitive from the 4 largest parties covered, how democratic!

Had a weeklong fling with Merz's little daughter Carola back in 2000. I guess I'd have to say him...

I worked with Angela Merkel's brother at Mannesman in Frankfurt, don't know much about her, but he was a complete wanker

Koch is apparently all buddy-buddy with the Dalai Lama.. dry.gif Beats me what the Dalai Lama gets out of hanging around with this creep. He must truly be an enlightened holy man to stomach this.

I don't follow many of them because German politics to me is somewhat dull but I do like Joshka Fishcer as he did smoke dope when he was young.

Dalai Lama likes to hang out with the big names like.

Kohl is responsible for a lot fo the problems that Germany is in now but I don't despise him as I do Koch and Schwesterwelle. ph34r.gif

Ummm... I have a confession to make unsure.gif

For 16 years I was the next door neighbour of the British Green Party Transport Spokesperson (and former Chair of the committee that once represented a leader). We shared a garden together. One day in about 1983 or maybe 1984, this nice German chap came to visit. We talked, drank beer and I... well... I... you-know.

Of course we had no idea he would go on to become that big. Nice bloke though. I still can't understand how he ended up as a politician... far too human.
