In general I think an invitation letter is required from a permanent resident, but not sure about your particular case. Contact the german embassy in your country.

I invited a friend over last December, these are what she needed to get visa from German Embassy in UK.
- Letter from me (Verflichtungerklaerung, which u can get from KVR for 25 eur.) link here in German though.
- Travel insurance.
- Ticket reservation document (only reservation is enough)
- in her case, paper from the university saying she's a student so maybe in your case a bank statement saying your parents having xxx amount of money.

hope this helps smile.gif

Thats cool.

1. Invitation letter
2. Your passport
3. Their passport copies
4. Insurance for them from Germany.
5. 25 Euros per head.
6. Last 3 months Salary slip.
7. Your Proof of residence

Phone number in case you want to enquire before hand: 089 2331623085

Insurance you could take from India as well. But then you need to pay for the expenses and claim it back in India later.

5. 25 Euros per head.

Think if you're inviting a married couple then it counts as 1 head so 25 eur. but again you'll know for sure when you're there tongue.gif

(Verflichtungerklaerung, which u can get from KVR for 25 eur.)

could u tell me if an intern or a praktikant can get this as well?
Saturday
@bonydebbie, I don't know actually ..
though if you can provide documents showing that u have enough income to cover their expenses during the whole visit (that's why they require that u bring 3 months pay slip along) then you have a good chance smile.gif

Hi
My motherinlaw visit visa application was rejected without any reasons in chennai.
I dont know why and the officer also denied to give any reason
Has anyone has similar experience ?
Is there any way we can reapply ? Is yes should i send the verpflichtungserkärung once again or is the old
letter enough

And whats the possibility of getting it , if we reapply ?

Regards

If your visa was rejected, you are entitled to a written statement mentioning the reasons your visa was rejected. With this written statement why your visa was rejected, you can write a remonstration - in essence protesting against the fact that your visa was rejected, explaining your side of things and asking the embassy to reconsider.

If you have not recieved a written rejection of your mother's visa withing 3 months of applying for the visa, you can sue the AA and the embassy for it.

did you give any dodgy documents? Generally we all have pleasant experiences with Chennai Consulate. Maybe you can write to the Consul General. The contact details are here

Hi
we submited the required documents like

verpflichtungs erklärung
my passport copy
cover letter
insurance
confirmed flight ticket

i dont know whats up here

and i checked the vhs website and found the following quote

Q:9- My visa got refused with no explanation. Can you let me know why ?
According to the Germany law, the reasons for refusal are confidential and cannot be disclosed.
source :http://www.vfs-germany.co.in/south/faqs.html

which means without knowign why the visa was rejected i have to tell my parents to apply again ?
