The Munich Ski Club is going to Obertauern this Saturday 15 March 2008. The snow is great! There is 1.5mtrs. in the valley and 2.5 mtrs. on the mountain. So if you would like to join us this Saturday, then send me an email at daytrips@munichskiclub.com or call 36037455. The cost is 55 Euro per person and includes the bus trip and skipass.

This weekend on Sunday, the Munich Ski Club is going to Kirchberg (beside Kitzbühel). Looks like there will be a lot of snow if the weather this week is anything to go by. As usual, if you would like to join us this Sunday, send an email to daytrips@munichskiclub.com or call 36037455. The cost is 55 Euro per person for non-members and only 45 Euro for members. This includes the bus trip, skipass and of course - some good company.

Are there still places available?

Just a small reminder. The Daylight Saving Time will start on Sunday Mar 30. So make sure you come on the right time!!
Jonny
Just to let you know, there is still a lot of snow in the mountains. Last week we all had a great time in Skiwelt but unfortunately it has now closed for this season. So this Saturday 5th April, the Munich International Ski Club is going to Zauchensee in the Flachauwinkl/Ski Amade area - and we won't have daylight saving time to worry about this time !!!

Weather forecast is snow every day until at least the weekend (see www.bergfex.com) so Saturday should be a cracker. As usual contact Dave Cougler to sign up or visit the website www.munichskiclub.com for more information.

If you'd like to join the Munich International Ski club, why not come along tonight to our Annual Membership Meeting. Venue is the Augustiner Am Dom, Frauenplatz 8 (across from the back of the Frauenkirche - not far from Kilians) at round 8pm. I hear a rumour there might be 1 or 2 free Helles floating around if you are early enough wink.gif

MISC's last day trip of the season: Saturday 12th of April
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The plan is to go to a Glacier (Stubai) but if it continues to snow in the
Alps we will go to a closer location. The cost is an additional 5 Euro (see
below) to the normal price. This includes Bus ride, Ski pass and a buffet
(food, drink) after skiing next to the bus. If anyone would like to bring a
small dish of food or a speciality from your country to add to the buffet you
are more then welcome. Please do not wait to long to sign up, the buses fill
up quickly. If you wait until the last few days it can happen that there is
no room left on the bus.

We hope to see you on our upcoming trips. I would like to take this
opportunity and thank those of you that supported the Ski Club this year,
without you we wouldn't have had the success that we had.

60 Euro for non members (party cost included in price)

50 Euro for members (party cost included in price)

Is this still happening? Because someone else posted elsewhere:

I gave up free football tickets to see Bayern play Saturday only to hear that the ski trip is cancelled!

EB: Nice catch for those who may not have heard. It seems that everyone who had signed up by Wednesday evening through the Ski Club Web site (which apparently also needs to be updated about the cancellation) received an email yesterday that it is cancelled. I don't know the TT name of the guy who runs the day skiing trips, however.

If anyone is going skiing tomorrow and has room in a car (or wants to ride the train together), please PM me.
Jonny
I'm afraid it's true. We didn't get enough people to come one the bus by Wednesday evening and we had to cancel. Apparently people don't believe there's still loads of snow in Austria. rolleyes.gif

I can confirm that the final trip next week is definitely on as we already have people signed up for it. The final trip is usually a busy one so if you're interested get your names down quickly.
