Sorry, I am hijacking TT Tuesday, but those of you interested in a classic match with the first leg closely poised at 0-0, we must have a winner. Liverpool v Chelski.

Those of you that want to join me.

Günther Murphy's - get there early, I hope to be there around 7pm.

I'll head over straight after work, so will get to GM's about 6pm when it opens.
More tea, Vicar?
I'm a lifelong Scouse fan and was untterly enthralled.

Well done the Reds!

My mates (some of whom were at the game) thought it was boring, just like the Fritz commentators. But that's fair enough. To the neutral it was a bore-draw.

I think Didi will score a screamer from outside the box next Tuesday and well go through ("like")!
Crawlie
As much as I would love to go I have Band Camp... sorry Band practice...

All piss-takes will be ignored
pepper
@ More tea, Vicar?

Everything is possible, and yep Didi is back, so Alonso will be missed, but unlike Liverpool of this season, there is a fairly good player to slot in.

Cisse looked good last night, and if he can pick up some more match fitness on Saturday against the Boro, then maybe will start 2 up front with Baros. It will be a very tense and nervous game on Tuesday, but hopefully the home crowd can ensure a good win.
Alys
Where is this pub? In Schwabing I presume?
pepper
Yep, its in Schwabing.

GMs

Follow the link, but basically you are not too far off if you are somewhere in Leopoldstrasse, near Münchner Freiheit.
Crawlie
Sod Band Practice. I am going to the pub. It is Liverpool vs Chelski afer all
pepper
@ Crawlie - You know you just cannot miss a game like this, Liverpool do actually have a small hope in Hell of making the final.
pepper
Ref decided for the game

I'm willing him on with every fibre in body, but I just can't see the French wunderkind in him this season. What, he was top scorer (or thereabouts) two seasons in a row for Auxerre?

I hope he finds his sights right quick. God knows we need it.
Crawlie
Well at least now he has an excuse for not looking at his best what with the broken leg and stuff´.

I was not impressed BEFORE the broken leg happened. Don't quite know what HOOOOlier saw in him to be honest
Alys
Thanks, Pepper. Looks good, if rather busy! It's not just an ex-pats place is it (I mean, no Germans around?) I like to integrate. If I decide I can get there without getting lost, how do I know (a) what time to get there and (cool.gif who my fellow Toytowners are? Don't want to be alone is an unfamiliar part of town and not sure it's safe for a lone female. Don't want to enter a pub alone either, come to that! But I DO want to watch the footie, even if I'm a Charlton supporter! Coming into the city from where I live in the south, I need to validate two stripes. Does this suffice if I then use the UBahn as well, or do I need to stamp it again? If so, how many stripes?

Yeah, well Mateja Kezman had a scoring record like Ruud Van Nistelrooy at PSV, but all he has done at Chelsea is get the very occasional scrappy 3 yard knock in via a defenders knee. Cisse has always looked class when I've seen him in the past though, he might come good.
Anyway, hope you Liverpool fans enjoy the game. It must be only, what 3 or 4 more games you can enjoy seeing Gerrard in red isn't it?

The Scouse are gonna do an Everton and flog our "best asset" for a pile of dough. Then we're gonna do twice as well w/o him next season. Don't want him to go, but can do without the tiresome "will he or won't he" angst.

@ Alys

Look out for these people

Some Liverpool fans
The guy in the middle

Sorry no pics of me ! hehe.

People look like they will start getting there between 6pm and 6:30pm. I will try for 6:30, but depends on work, latest will be around 7pm for me though !
pepper
Well it looks like we are buying a new keeper, so that's the end for Kirkland and Dudek, Carson being a Rafa recruit, he will stay a little longer.

Crawlie
Oh very funny indeed. Look! I have to turn up for band practice for an hour at least (got to do my flute solo Mr Lions you git... wink.gif )

Just spread your fat arse out a bit more
butterbean
there was this one time, at band camp, where Crawlie showed up without his flute and had to sing. it was really funny.
pepper
AAAAHHHHHHH...

OK, I have just heard that they have decided to make huge changes on the systems here this evening, so I am going to miss this ! I am going to be stuck in the office until around 8pm. Will get down there as soon as I can afterwards, still in my suit if I have to !
Crawlie
Well as long as you do not have to go to Milan or Singapore or Stockholm or somewhere then I suppose we can put up with the suit...
3 Lions
Geez, you Liverpool fans are rubbish!! Biggest game of your season and your all turning up late!! blink.gif

Anyone fancy coming to The Arc this Saturday watching the results come in. Biggest game of Oldham Athletics season on Saturday. Should we lose and results elsewhere go against us...we're going down to League 2!! sad.gif

Nah. The Final will be the biggest game of our season... wink.gif
pepper
If I could get out of doing these changes tonight, I would, this is the second most important game of the season (after the final of course !) and I really want to watch this game LIVE ! with ENGLISH commentary !

AHH... (sorry Germans) why do they always pick the worst time to carry out such a job, when I am the only person that can make the second part of the changes in the entire company ! ahh...
Crawlie
Oh gosh Pepper. You are my hero
pepper
OK, there is no need for that ! If I don't do the changes, then I would be looking for a new job ! But I just wish the changes were not tonight, these were originally planned for Saturday lunch time !
Crawlie
Bloody Germans wink.gif

Don't worry Pepper I am only messin wid ya
3 Lions
Eh, Eh, Eh, Calm down, Calm down.

butterbean
and I thought you were looking for a new job??? smile.gif
pepper
On my own doing, not from the company, have never been sacked, wouldn't want to start giving them any excuses.

A Liverpool fan walks past a shop and sees the video "Liverpool - The Glory Years". He goes into the shop and asks how much. "£100" says the shopkeeper.
"That's a bit steep, how come it's so dear ??"
"Well its a tenner for the video and £90 for the Betamax recorder!!

Current European form

# Liverpool have won their last three Champions League home matches.
# Chelsea have lost their last three Champions League away matches.
# Liverpool have won four Champions Cups (in 1977, 78, 81 and 84). The Reds also won three Uefa Cups (1973, 76, 2001) and two European Super Cups (1977, 2001)

wished id been in a pub for this, brilliant!!!
pepper
What a result, still say questionable goal, but regardless I will take it. It was 100% a penalty.

Chelsea's inability to break down the Liverpool defence decided it, even though even after the goal, Liverpool continued to push forward.
Crawlie
The ball was over the line... rolleyes.gif But then it was either a goal or a red card for Cech I suppose...

Liverpool continued to push forward? Well apart from the occasional long ball they were pretty much maintaining a 10 man defence... But who cares??? Istanbul here we come!

Woohoo!!
pepper
Well looks like Mr Wenger is getting jealous, just because he cannot get past the quarters ! Lucky ? hmm.. to get to the final of the Champions League you have to play some good teams twice ! how is that luck ? The final can be luck, one game.
