There's a place between Düsseldorf and Aachen called Titz.

Off-topic - In Sweden, between Helsingborg and Gothenburg, there's a place called Bastads.

And again off-topic, the famous Fücker driving school is in the next village to me, a village called Kapellen in Grevenbroich.

Couldn't resist the ski resort of Wank down near Garmisch.

What do you call the people who live there?

You can say, "I went to Wank in Germany", "I'm going to Wank", etc, etc...

Also not a place name, but...

I saw a van with "Schag Elektroreparatur" on it yesterday. I thought "Ah, so that's where ladies go if their 'personal massagers' break."

Saw this last night on Türkenstrasse. The name of the store is bad enough - Suckfüll - then they go and hang this sign in the window.

Nearest silly name is the village of Föching outside Holzkirchen.

I went there just to take a photo of the sign. And...to my great delight...the pub was called the Föchingerhof! Oh how we laughed!

Anyway I'm glad you are all as sad and as sick as me who has been chuckling away at all these things for years!

By the way, check out Bummstrasse! Google Maps woohoo!
