Hey there!
Just to let y'all know that there's some pretty shit-hot dj business going on in town this weekend (well Saturday actually)
For House hedz, the is the one and only Ian pooley @ Palais (see other thread!)
but for electro lovers, there is a bit of a conundrum!
Dj Koze in Harry Klein (this will be unbelievably packed, guaranteed)
and Kid Alex in Garden (also likely to be a road block)
Either way, you're in luck!

Hi Worm,
It's Stanford again. Thanks for the news as we are planning a trip out dancing this weekend. I was a little dissapointed with David Morales at the Park Cafe as they let too many people in - so it was too packed to dance. Luckily a lot of people starting leaving at 3:30ish - giving more room to stretch your legs but I can't fathom why they didn't open the garden or second rooms. Na ja - so is life.
I don't Like Palais it's too small so I top of my list iwth be the Garden club and I may try and check-out out Harry Klein. What time is best to ensure entry?
Regards,
Stanford

Hi Stanford
unfortuantely (as you have already discovered) There is little or no overcrowding regulations here in Munich. Promoters will always pack their clubs to dangerous levels if they can.
As for this weekend, you will probably find it pretty packed too. The best time to go to Garden is anytime after 1 am. Harry Klein the same, but it is a tiny club so I expect that there would be a pretty hefty one-in-one-out kind of situation going on.

I think I will try Garden Club as it's a big enuff venue and I'm not sure my girlfriend is ready for Kunstpark yet...even if it is to wait outside Harry Kleins.
Have a good one on the weekend.

Look out for me at Garden, I always stand in the corner between the bar and the stage. Black spiky hair, 6foot5. I'm friendly!

Will do, I'm easy to spot - Tall Black guy normally dancing a little wild (in fact very wild!!!

)and with my blonde girlfriend (black guy with a blonde bit of a cliche!!!). #
But she's an alternative type defo not high maintenance - in fact an X-Communist!!! Since my career in banking wasn't a stella success I should be glad...
See ya there.

Worm,
Question - Is Nektar a goodway to begin the nite or will that spoil the vibe?
thanks
Stanford
PS. still not seen that place and I'm curious

mm...nektar, well its certainly a nice place, but it is quite chilled, so it depends how you like beginning your evening, lying down listening to chilled music and surrounded by beautiful types, or in some loud place with more energy (for this I'd recommend somewhere like Cafe am Hochhaus in Glockenbach)
By the way, I've been hearing lots of people talking about Kid Alex in the street today, and they were even talking about it on NRG fm this afternoon, so I think its gonna be rammed!

In the end we had to go to a Golf tournament today and the after party is in 8 seasons so we will go there first (I want to see this famous terazza and the beautiful people hanging out)...I'm also interested to see Soul Ciy (what the gay scene is like in munich)...which is near 8 seasons - so will most probs pop in there and then after Garden club*...so if you are still there later (2 to 3:30ish after the crowds) we should bump into each other.

Worm,
What a sh*t nite, we started at 8 seasons which is pretty lame - that wannabe money scene and the girls weren't that pretty as well.
Soul city was cancelled and then at 2 we were outside Garden club in a queue. It looked pretty much road blocked and some of the crowd in the queue seemed young...so we jumped back into a taxi to Woanders. The music was good but as usually it was empty...so I danced for a hour whilst cursing under my breath for spending 90 Euros for nothing!!!
One friend did go to the cafe place you recommended and said it was good music and a excellent crowd...so I'll keep it on the list for when I'm out again (i.e. after the Eltern next weekend are here and my monthly trip back to Manchester the week after).
Have a fun -
Regards
Stanford
God, only just got sober enough to type anything -
Yeah we hit Garden at about 1.30, it was pretty packed, with a good crowd (Garden always has some slightly younger people, its more of a party place than some other clubs, but its never too bad, a good mix) The music from Kid Alex was excellent, we were there until 5 or so, then we went to Harry Klein, cant remember how long I was there for - till 7 or so, the music was good but a bit too minimal for me - then we went to a really cool after hour in Nordfreidhof, sat outside on sunloungers all day getting completely toasted and listening to great tunes! It was an excellent weekend - but I'm really paying for it now!!!

Worm,
Reads like it!!! I'm sorry I missed a good nite. I'm not out this weekend and then I'm in Manchester. So my discovery or not of Muniich will have to wait.
